  1. Morning. Awfully blowy, windows rattling. Feel more tired now than when I went to kip. Have a great one.
  2. Good morning @Stubby not sure. Pretty sure they were here around this time last year. That said, this was one, not the whole chattering lot. Still, lifts the heart as I see it as a definite push towards summer.
  3. Morning Birds giving it the beans. Caught sight of the first returning swallow last night. Brilliant. Have a great one.
  4. Morning Blowy and overcast. Bit of damage to sort out and then relax. Have a relaxing weekend.
  5. Morning Lay in after a busy week. Mild and bit blustery. Pottering around planning next weekends milling. With luck. Have a great one.

  7. Morning Birds singing. Bloody lovely. BT Internet playing silly sods - typical. Have a great day.
  8. Agree with Spuddog. Also it is now just another tax. In the past it actually was for road maintenance and repair. Now it's just another revenue stream. My grumble would be about electric stuff. Years ago it was just milk floats. What damage did they do? Now these tosslers accelerate and brake like sports cars. Thunder down the road and do as much dmage as anything else. Sorry, slight rant and derail.
  9. Morning Morning Jase. Good and early. Birds giving it the beans, hope it stays a bit fry. Have a happy hump-day Wednesday.
  10. Morning Overcast and threatening. Not raining yet. Have a great one.
  11. Morning It's bloody dark again. Week 2 of training Hey-ho Have a good one.
  12. Morning No plans, Ash cut and stacked. Have a great day
  13. Sorry I'm late Doug. Been a hectic week and as today is an off day I'm catching up on chores. Mrs is cracking the whip and first chance I've had to "surf" today. Spring is on the way. Defo. Discovered a robin nest in the log pile so that's out of bounds for a few weeks. Got a load of dead ash to cut split (when allowed) and then more up the farm blown over in the recent blow up. Happy day
  14. Morning Fingers crossed for a decent day. Out in it, Looking forward to a rest tomorrow. Full week. Back at it Monday Have a safe one.
  15. Morning Nearly there. Only 2 more days to the weekend. Have a good one.
  16. Hi there. Got out of Telecoms and London (underground) now working for a contractor at Gatwick. Servicing an Orange airline. Close to home and offers the spare time to continue my firewood and milling obsessions. Cheers.
  17. Morning Long day yesterday. Airside training today, hope the weather stays kind. Have a great day, after all....It's hump-day Wednesday. Working Friday ...booo :-)

  20. Morning Bit late, sorry Doug. Bright when I was up at 5 letting the old dog out. Went back for a rest and Lo it's bloody 8:30
  21. Remembered much the same. Etch primer on Ali on the old Land Rover. The only reason I questioned whether it was an epoxy was the thickness of it. It seemed thicker than your regular painted metal.
  22. Showing my ignorance.... is it definitely paint? Not an epoxy coating? I remember from chemistry at school magnesium was one of those metals like aluminium that made it a bit complicated to create the chemical bond to stick stuff to it.
  23. Morning Bright and chill. Perfect. No plans. Bit f Cedar to split and stack...or make kindling. Lets see. Have a smashing weekend.
  24. Morning Another week done. All Euc split and stored. All quiet till Monday if I'm lucky. Have a great weekend.
