  1. sorry if this has been posted already, today we had a stand down day for ground control, one of the topics brought up was how would you rescue some one on a zigzag? One simple little thing we were shown was to put a ring on your harness (in the pic) so you can self belay as the weight would make you come down pretty quick without it. I know its not ideal as the safe working load is only 140kg. I was curious what your opinions are?   4. I was looking at the oxfam website for books and found a copy of alex shigos modern arboriculture for £35. Unfortunatly my friend brought me a brand new copy for xmas so I dont need it. Considering this book is £100+ new I thought some one on here may be interested? Any one eles find bargains like this any were?
  5. 2 weeks ago my cousen rang me asking me if i wanted to by a male goshawk for £400. i was tempted but didnt have the space right away. Last week we turned up to a job and the customer had a few bops aswell, after talking about them for a while he told me he had a 3 year old male gos that he didnt have time for as he was hunting his female this year. He arrives next week ;-) i offered to pay but he insisted i could have it for nothing. Im chuffed to bits, ill upload photos when he arrives

    mine took about 7 weeks to arrive, i got a letter and email telling me what part of the world oleg was in every so often. Now seeing as there goin for around £50 on ebay i may well be selling him ;-)

  15. really? iv been signed off for 2 weeks and was hoping id be back befor then? im still bed bound struggling to go as far as the toilet but thought this would be sorted by mid week. any of you remember having bad shoulder pain? if so did u find a way to eas it?
  16. any body on hear had there appendix out? I had mine out on Saturday and can only just move. how long was it before you was back climbing again. i no every one is different. The hospital has signed me off for 2 weeks and told me the doctor will probably tell me i need another 2. was hoping to be back asap.

  19. were abouts? i live in radford, get them flying around here all the time. put a pic up and ill keep an eye out.
