  1. Spies Like Us was Chevy Chase and Dan Ackroyd I think. Love that film:thumbup:
  2. Seriously mind-blowing pictures. Brilliant:thumbup: Each one of those pin-pricks of light is a sun, most with their own collection of orbiting planets. There are over 200 Billion stars/suns in our own teeny weeny galaxy, and over 100 Billion galaxies in the observable universe! My brain left the building at least a sentance ago, but you get the idea of how many planets there must be. E.T. ?? Got to be!
  3. 7kg!! Bloomin' eck. What did you feed him, another cat?
  4. Looks like your nostalgic tales of life on the Essex marshes are having their usual effect Felix:biggrin:
  5. Did try being Humble for a while Geoff, but then some geezer told me I'd have to pull lambs out of the arse end of sheep!! Bugger that
  6. Not clever Geoff, it's shameful! I've gone right down in my own estimation.
  7. They certainly are hardy little fellas. Our next door neighbour's cat went missing for four days this winter. She eventually saw it clinging on at the top of her 40ft Leylandii. It had been up there for four sub-zero nights, blowing around in the gales. The fire brigade had to come in to get her down. Apparently the cat just trotted back inside as if she had just popped out for a number 2 in the flower bed!
  8. 26!!!! Are you sure someone didn't have him stuffed whilst you were'nt looking?
  9. Hi Lewis, Do they need to be perfectly profiled like that or can they be more 'rustic' like roof shingles? Either way we may be able to sort something. I'll give you a tinkle later today.
  10. Told me he wants the next one up Chris!
  11. Protecting innocent citizens from the crazed actions of madmen!? Hmmm...? I do believe gentlemen we may have un-masked Batman.
  12. Well said that man! Unfortunately the vast majority of bbq users don't give any thought to the origin of their charcoal. 90% of the population mindlesly cook their sausages over dwindling irreplacable ecosystems, or compressed packages of charcoal dust, sawdust, sodium nitrate, cement and petroleum. All whilst our own woodlands are crying out for cutting! Not that I am in any way biased towards homegrown charcoal you understand:biggrin:
  13. Steve always uses his big toe to point at clouds, it's just the way he is.
  14. More facts than quotes, but see if you can wrap your Sunday morning brain cells around these:biggrin: There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on all the worlds beaches put together. (paraphrased from Carl Sagan) There are more atoms in a single grain of sand than there are stars in the universe. :001_huh: (Some clever maths dude)
  15. That's a brilliant idea:thumbup: I am not doing any planting, but will dedicate a majestic old small leaved lime coppice stool to him.
  16. Contributed monumentally to our understanding of trees, and ancient woodland in particular. A proper 'old school' professor too! Will be much missed.
  17. And some complete loonies:biggrin: Welcome Jamie. Where is your woodland?
  18. Don't mention it😊 Great thread idea Mr.Arb.
  19. We all love our chainsaws Countryboy, but marrying one is going a wee bit far in my book!
  20. And I would bite his other arm off, and possibly a bit of his leg too, just to show I was really keen! Very generously priced.
  21. Much kudos to you Mountain Man. Sincere apologies are a rare commodity these days! Regarding the herbs, I would think it likely that the effects would vary from person to person. To some a help, to others a hinderance, depending on how your brain is wired and your circumstances etc.
