  1. Im after 50 m3 or 1.2 vented bags, to finish my last batch of timber for next year. Didnt want to buy more new ones as it makes it expensive under 250 units per order. Doesnt matter if there a bit tatty, as long as no major holes.
  2. Could anyone tell me the approx cubic feet in a tonne of fresh felled hybrid Poplar.
  3. Anyone have a use for over sized Poplar timber (45cm + diameter) Straight stuff cut to 3m lengths, would be deliverd by artic load, located near beverley Hull. PM me if interested.

We have a load (25 tonne) of Oak firewood for sale at our yard, It was felled end of feb gone so semi seasoned in length, its in 12 foots and ranges from approx 4 inch to 16 inch diameter. good access for artic or eight wheeler. Can sort local haulage at cost if needed. £47 per tonne pm me if interested.

  12. We are wanting to buy a new big saw for planking our big hardwood stems, but cant decide which saw to go for,husky 3120 or stihl 088.Which are you guys using for same job? any pros and cons out there? cheers. Richie.

  15. We have a few tonne of oak stems,all around 20 foot long by 20 inch diameter most are pretty straight, to nice for firewood. Not had much to do with this sort of timber other than firewood quality,unsure what there worth,or best uses for them really,any ideas?

I agree, unless you are getting the standing timber for nothing, or paid to remove the trees from the woodland, dont see how roadside price can be much cheaper than it is in our area,if youve gotta make a living that is. There are Firewood businesses local to me buying large amounts of timber in at £60 per tonne.Just gotta be reflected in the end product price i suppose.
  17. Would like to charge £80 cube, just dont think my yorkshire folk would pay that. Customers do need educating on what is involved in firewood production though.
  18. I know of guys that sell cheaper firewood timber round here to be honest, but comes down to the product, if thats right then it sells. What you paying down your way.
  19. Yes thats a roadside price haulage on top.
  20. we will have loads ready end of this month, all oak and ash if thats any good.
