We have a small amount of Ash saw logs for sale, 10-20 inch dia 3m and 3.7m in length. clean logs, some with good olive colour. approx 10 tonne.£50/tonne, delivery can be arranged at cost. Also some large dia single Sycamore, Ash and Beech butts 30inch + ideal chainsaw milling butts. pm me for details

We are currently looking for a new, part time member of staff to help with our growing work load. Our business consists of firewood production providing private clients and wholesale year round. The forestry side runs the hardwood firewood supply and quite a large amount of softwood felling and extraction is done so the successful candidate would need to be happy running a firewood processor, working in the woods on the saws, while also doing some tree surgery jobs as well. Must be hard working and willing to put the hours in, NPTC tickets would be an advantage but we are willing to train the right person, college leavers and less experienced staff are welcome to apply. we would be looking for someone 1-2 days a week initially. Being vat registered everything is looked at nett, i dont pocket that 20% aswell pal. £2.50 extra per tonne on what i normaly sell, as is semi seasoned.

We have a spare load of Birch firewood, in 12 foot lengths, semi seasoned in the round, approx 7 months in stack. 3-10 inch diameter all fairly straight ideal processor material. can arrange haulage at cost from York North Yorkshire YO61 1QJ. artic load or eight wheeler whichever was prefered. £47.50 + vat/tonne road side. pm if you wish.

What species of softwood and how much per tonne roadside, cheers

Cheers, thats very helpful. This log is 8 foot long and hoppus feet measure at 56. It isnt as dark as your log pictured tho, more of a milk choc colour, and at the size it is there must be some decay somewhere in it.

Anyone give me a rough idea what i should be paying for Walnut timber per cubic foot in the round, decent stuff and pretty big.

Yeah there nice, far to good to firewood which is what alot round here would do with them, like to put all our timber to its best use if i can. I only mill to order and these have been with me a good while now. Interested folk can pm me if they wish or 07949712097.

Got these 2 pieces left on my milling pile, anyone interested? The Ash is about 30-36 inch diameter roughly 20 foot long, straight and clean. The cherry is 16-18 inch diameter and 8 foot long, clean and straight, both would make some really nice boards. Open to sensible offers, i can load at this end or deliver at cost.
