Wow and I was thinking its only a small tree what could go wrong? Makes you think though... It doesn't take a big piece to majorly f#*k you up. The guy was a little over ambitious though, loving the ladder chainsaw lack of harness combo, there's a few guys round here must use this video as an instructional video. A climber at my work swears its safer to use his top handled saw on the ground rather than an 026 because its sharper! Or should I say the only saw he will sharpen, climbers don't sharpen ground saws you know, that's a groundie job. Yet I tell him everyday as he's swinging it around one handed sometimes two that it'll bite him in the end. I wonder where the insurance company would stand on this say there was an accident? The rate of pay isn't as important I don't think as enjoying the type of work your employed does and the company of the guys you work with. I'd rather be settled somewhere I like than chase the top money. I don't know why people moan about the wages, surely some research would have shown the wages were crap in this business before you even thought about getting qualified. I for one and happy to get my same crappy wages every week and budget too them. We have been running a mog for the last 7 years and its been pretty reliable it's a 1250 long wheelbase and its only had 2 clutches and a head gasket. Ours hydraulic locked too but didn't do any damage. It's just the fuel consumption that's a bit scary. If you need to get a big chipper off road you can't beat them, bit of a waste though for doing residential. I love it! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Be kind to him DA Tree Surgeons, he's only small. Everyone has a different way of doing things, im old school, use both ends with prussik as it works for me. Mr Cheesemanator is one of these new breeds where its all about the gadgets. I think he can strip, clean and reassemble his spiderjack in the dark!! You will never convince a gadget whore that keeping it simple and familiar is best. He tried to force me into getting Red Pfanner chainsaw trousers...... because their better..... my legs would look like two saveloys.

Mr Cheeseman, we both know you dont have an ex as your a virgin but that aside.... climbing using both ends of your rope makes perfect sense. It allows you to triangulate your work positioning and how often do we work on london and a 45m rope dosn't touch the ground when your using both ends? Answer is rarely, it is ergonomic and its stable, your single system has had me worrying about you pendulum swinging into Surrey on several occasions! BOOM!
