  2. yep you need to as, you need to take a redirect up so you can decend with the casullty.
  3. i did mine as few months back and only choked my saftey line when doing the change overs for a pole rescue, as far as i know when spiking you dont have to choke your saftey line you just need to take it up with you. hope this helps Ollie
  4. dont need gloves, but if you cut yourself when working then he/she can fail you,, so you could just wear normal work gloves. Hope this helps
  5. Theres a gyy done the road from me whos got a 110 tipper with a really nice ally chip box on back which has literly been sitting there for months so much so that the cab is covered in moss might go and have a word with him about a deal!!! thanks for the advice!!

  7. at the moment I tow chip in a trailer behind my 90 due to its 3.5 tonn weight limit, however this presents the problem of having to take another landy towing a chipper. more fuel cost etc!! for a while i've been thinking of getting a landy tipper, but my dad is adiment they can't actually carry much weight does anyone know the right figure that they can leagaly carry obvs i'm aware that they can carry much more than vosa want and that the carrying weight will varry on the body weight but a figure would be good non the less??   12. Looking at getting some new rope? I tend to alternate between using both ends with a lanyard and the simple prussik for my friction hitch looking to change to the vt soon, but cant make my mind up between Imori, xtc or the new england tachyon all with the spliced eye. any opinoins much appricated??   13. I've always found them fine to climb...anchored into branches the size of my wrist etc. But as the other guys say look at the tree thoroughly and check your points! Hope this helps Ollie
  14. I use the new sip progress type c....and cant fault them really breathable and hard wearing. Top marks in my opinion!! Ollie
  15. if its a tipper it doesn't matter about the weight for a licence because your not towing the weight. someone correct me if im wrong but thats how I understand it. hope this helps Ollie

  20. you can more than the 750kg allowed on a land rover as long as the trailer has a plated weight. minus the maximum gross weight of the trailer of the land rovers towing capacity of 3500kg and that gives you what your allowed to tow without a pre 97 licence ollie
