  1. have a few pro plus with it, works for me although when you eventually get into bed i struggle to then sleep because of all the **** iv had, vicious circle.
  2. older tractors can be converted to air brake wich isnt too much hassel, firm i worked for had air fitted on a old case 220 and a david brown. the old fords i think only do 20mph wich is rather slow even on good roads loaded.
  3. take it all out and put in all in one piece, lot of extra hassel splitting, just done one on my ranger.
  4. we used to forage the stuff for composting, there might be someone local to you that does it, just spray regrowth then.
  5. a freind had an artic cat, was nothing but noisey, stupidly big, heavy so it sank and in all fairness didnt have all that much grunt............ honda foreman 400 showed it up...
  6. tanalised timber just doesnt seem to last especially in some soil conditions. You can get post etc to building specification, i think its use4 for posts and this is garunteed for 15, 30 or 60 yrs but obviously it all comes at a cost.
  7. it all depends upon your style of fencing, size of your strainers, do you use 'H' style or simply strut them? do you have strand of barbed below the stock net as well, is your timber treated, will there need to be extra strainers for curves or bends, job to be done by hand or machine? and most important of all ground conditions as this will effect time scale on the job... not forgetting size of posts, 6' or 5,6'?
  8. Man, Van and Chipper needed for 1 day in poole Dorset, please PM me with quotes if available. Date has not been set yet. Thanks Aaron
  9. yes, and that was taking into account 3ton towing limit, technically we could carry another ton on the bed but legally you cant, im just saying, be aware.
  10. just be careful lads when towing 3,5 ton and thinking you can carry a ton on board as well (pick ups etc) believe it or not you will be over weight. vosa etc if they pull you over they go off gross train weight and the weight on each axcles independently, we were pulled over couple weeks back with a ranger and 10ft ifor tipper, we had a full pack of rails on and we were only just in our legal limits, thats carrying nothing else.
  11. yes those sort of websites. thanks for the response.

yes all single strand wire is strained and yes we also use boundary bar, you say special plough? any pics or link to a website, special in what way? i was just curious as to what other people used. im sure i see somewhere a all in one machine some one made, it dug the trench, unrolled and layed the wire in then there was an angled plate to bk fill, basically a 1 pass machine, how effective this was i dont know. Thanks for the posts. Aaron
  13. after other peoples little tips really, is there a quicker way? we dig the furrow to bury the wire with a 2 ton machine but even that is slow, have been wondering about adapting a plough to to make life quicker, any one else come up with any bright ideas? also do people strain there rabbit netting or just strain my hand tension and ring? just anoys me as you can never get the stuff nice and flat! anyone? Aaron

  15. Does anybody use these websites where they claim to have lots of tender opportunities? are they anygood and worth paying for? obviously it all depends on the contracts that get offered etc but in general does the type of work come up in these websites?
