Just had a quick read up on the net and a full grown elephant has the largest brain in the world weighing in at 11 lbs a Blue whale can weigh up to 200 tons but still only has a brain that weighs 4 lbs only 1 lb heavier that an adult human. Not trying to make any point and its off thread but interesting none the less
  9. Yeah .223 would be a step in the right direction if the cost of Hmr keeps going up when I last bought Hmr I was told it had gone up becuse of the price of lead, bit strange because when I asked him how much the Mach 2 had gone up by his reply was that it had gone down
  10. Sorry to hear that mate! My Patterdale had a couple of near misses on a job a while back so is now confined to the cab when the truck is being moved.

  15. If a new machine was to come on the market that meant twice as much could be achieved in a day, then the first few companies in each area would make a killing until everybody else got one, then we would all be back to square one and charging our old day rate. The only people to benefit would be the customer and the machine manufacturer . what we need in the business is a way of convincing the customers that we're worth more than an accountant, dentist, vet, hairdresser per hour Blokes working in our trade 30 years ago didnt have half the tools we've now and probably couldnt acheive half as much per day as is possible now but yet still earn't a good wage. Im sure that if chippers were made illegal for instance we would all still charge the same per day if not more and because jobs would take longer there would be more days of work to see us through the quiet times
  16. A machine that reads the customers mind and tells you the maximum they're willing to pay
  17. I use .17 mach2 .17 hmr and .22 rf for rabbits. The ranges you mention are about right, picked up 148 last time I went out at night driving round with the suzuki jeep. I could probably shoot between 500 and 1000 if I went out twice a day for a week, its just finding a buyer.
  18. Id love to find a dog food company that bought them whole and frozen, it wouldnt take long to get 1000 up together, even if they only made 50p each. I doubt they farm them for dog food or do they ?
  19. I shot 21 in less than an hour this evening and thought Id search the net to see if someone out there buys them frozen and in bulk for dog food or something.

  22. Hi Dan! The tank and bracket came from a breaker on ebay for £40, its an Iveco part and bolted to the chassis behind the back passenger door. I needed to drill 4 holes and extend the fuel lines. the only problem was that the fuel gauge does'nt work now so I just fill up every 250 miles. The whole job should'nt take more than a couple of hours. well worth doing IMO.

  23. When they're not on strike
  24. Had a few Barbour woolen jumpers over the years and the only fault that I can find with them is the price, at around £80 for the ones I bought they're not cheap but as long as you dont shrink them or put on weight then you've got a jumper for life
