tree stump grinder vgc. Multi tip cutting wheel using multi tip narrow teeth Due to closing down the business, I have a rock machinery stump grinder for sale. Powered by a reliable 14hp Briggs engine (not used for 6months and fired straight up,). Very well built and easy to maintain. I put the Multi tip cutting wheel on as the original rock teeth are shit multi tip make this grinder a fantastic machine the wheel cost over £550 plus teeth. Lots of power and makes easy work of any stump. Will be shown running before sale. Back or cash on collection No PayPal due the scams. I am away from 6th to 9th of October so collection need to be before or after Thanks.

  2. Hi looking for a freelance climber to do 4days next week in Bodmin cornwall , half day climbing and half day feeding chipper. thanks aiden
  3. i have the old 13hp model and i found the teeth went blunt too fast so i changed the cutting wheel to multi tip wheel and now its a fantastic machine, cost around £500 for the multi tip wheel but well worth it.
  4. Ok survey completed, why hasn't hse or AA thought that if you had a anti kickback tip guard you would be in danger of forward leaning timber doing a "widow maker" and killing the climber?
  5. your insurance wouldn't of been void (unless its accident insurance you are talking about). It is very sad to hear of fatal accidents, but as has already been said it the use of the saw thats the problem (one handed , bad positioning, working too fast cos job was miss quoted). i climb alone (or with no rescue climber) quite often , i am breaching health and saftey regs thats all. But i very rarely cut at throat height , and rarely do one handed chainsaw use, even with a recuse climber on site it dont mean you wont have a fatal accident ( if you cut into a main vein then you will be dead in 1 min , so the safety climber will have only just left the ground). i also climb with impregnated celox bandage in my first aid kit which gives me some confidance i can deal with a chainsaw would myself.
  6. like treequip said loler inspector wont like anything burned ( would be a straight fail of loler test), try work to the fibers back into the rope. Hard to see from the photos but if all those strands are slightly cut then it is probably going to fail a loler inspection anyway .
  7. i have been with both , never claimed. But had same experience as tree monkey with arbrisk , they really shitty if you ring up for a quote when you havent been with them for a while . i am sticking with trust now ( they give quote without being shitty if you dont buy the insurance that year)
  8. thanks for the replys , but after looking at bark pictures of silver dollar and Jarrah i am sure it was not those two, it looks very very close to stringybark, . i have never seen anything like it before. starting my level 4 in September so not up on all the theory side to this yet, is it possible to have trees cross breed from root graft? i know its possible for trees to root graft to share nutrients.
  9. Saw this Eucalyptus last week was growing between two scots pines, the bark was like a scots pine ( but soft and sponge like ) at the base and as got higher became like a normal Eucalyptus, also old wounds had a red colour sap. Have these trees grafted at the roots to become a hybrid?
  10. if you get someone to put a new splice on the rope then it cant be lolered , unless its done by someone who can give the splice a ce mark. So probaly best to start using a termination knott
  11. Hi everyone, not sure if this the right place for this this thread, moderators please move or delete if wrong place or not allowed. i have just passed my loler ticket:001_smile: so am now doing loler inspections in mid cornwall ( newquay). Or if you have 3 kits or more and have a dry warm place for the inspection to be done , i can travel and test the kit on site any where in cornwall. PM for details
  12. yep it's hardcore work in india, i saw workers climbing to 4th floor height with machette held in teeth as they climb up and using bit of baling twine doubled up around there ankles for grip!!!
  13. Like Mattmoss says ce marking is a must for ppe during loler test , but no ce mark necessary for rigging equipment, just needs to fit for pupose for loler test . All equipment used by employees must have a current loler test.
  14. yes thats the right same as AA, but you want the 175amp plugs ANDERSON PLUG 175 AMP_BATTERY CONNECTOR_JUMP START_SLAVE ASSIST_X2_GREY_16MM2 | eBay
  15. mine is wired from the vehicle battery using a anderson plug (175amp) and tips anything i put in it!! Its a simple thing to sort just need welding wire 16mm2, crimps, cut out switch ,anderson plug and cable crimp for making the cables, think i paid about £70
