Cheers Andy. I didn't want to have it closed as it has got me rather upset that just one member has basically bad mouthed the ride-out which we raised £800 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance who attended the tragic accident. Little does he know we have raised nearly £4000 for them in 3 weeks.

Thats true. Trouble is most of the girdlers are 2 inches and bigger on the surface and we don't have access to the machine you use to go deeper.

We saw him cut up 2 cars and 3 bikes off a dual carrirageway (outside lane to slip road in one move). It was a car from Verwood (near Bournemouth) as one of the rider is the head of Poole and Bournemouth police force. Some of the riders said it was a shame they didnt film it from the start to the finish of his dangerous overtakes. He wouldn't have been able to see around that corner until he got to the house.

You can be a right arse sometimes Difflock. The inquest into his death has said the car was not indicating at the time of the crash and that Dan was not speeding. What the video shows is only a snap shot of what the policeman was doing prior to stopping the riders. The fact that a few riders were riding quick but safely is neither here or there. Its more the fact the policeman nearly caused dozens of accidents just to try and catch up with a biker which wasn't even part of the ride out. Did you not see him in the video overtaking on a blind right hand bend entering a 30 mph limit on the wrong side of the road? If a normal motorist did that they would lose their license.

He overtook us on a blind left hand then did the same on the blind right hand in the video. He was also overtaking on blind summits and two more blind bends causing oncoming cars to take to the verge.

The thing is the copper thought the rider which went over on the double whites was one of the marshals but it wasn't. Its more the fact he nearly caused several accidents trying to catch up with the marshals (two of which were on duty unmarked traffic cops). An official complaint has been made and the video i have put up will be sent via email as well. The police that night couldn't spare a car or two for traffic management so the marshals had to do the job so had to get a wriggle on between roundabouts and junctions.

The chicken this year has been sporadic. The trees which fruited last year haven't done so this year but the ones with nothing last year are fruiting this year. Is it a common theme? -

The stickers have arrived for the BMW and land rover. Now all we have to do is find somewhere to put them as they are bigger than we thought.

Yup. There are talks of another ride out later in the summer which might be bigger than last nights as it would be a regional one. But will also have culmination of other vehicles including Land Rover, BMW, Merc, VW and Subaru.

Tonights ride out couldn't have gone any better. Dry,warm and broken cloud. We had a turnout of about 130 bikes all marshalled and so far we have raised over £750 for Dorset and Somerset Air ambulance. Only slight hiccup was when the marshalls were getting a shift on between junctions a digruntled traffic cop pulled some of them in for a quick chat as they were getting a shift on. Even so it was a fantastic turnout. I will be loading the video of the majority of bikes moving on from where dan was sadly taken out.
