  1. Ha ha not a problem bud. Had 20 ton delivered yesterday and another 10 ton today. Didnt cause too much hassle luckily. Gonna cause a problem or two tomoz as got a trailer load of plants arriving tomorrow which wont be too much of the problem as its all on our Wessex tipper. Just reverse it at speed over the kerb n drop it off
  2. Accidentally bought this mug on the bay. Now is it an office or home mug that is the question. We have a team of 6 southern softies and 1 northern monkey (derbyshire).
  3. Yup. Ha ha. That what i have suggested to buy as the replacement.
  4. The weather was ideal for bird pics today
  5. Heard 8 chiffchaffs today and seen lots of Brimstone, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral butterflies and saw the first pair of Orange tip.
  6. Its a metallic screech. It almost sounds like someone driving along with the hand brake on a car. Its going in to the dealer next week for investigatory work. We did as much as we could but now its upto the dealer to go deeper.
  7. Had a message this morning that our eastern highways depot had been broken into over night by two men in Hi-viz (CCTV handed to local plod). Had a total of 9 brushcutters stolen from a shipping container. Don't know anything more than that sadly. But its scary that no-one approached them at 2.30AM taking brushcutters and loaded them into a Subaru pick up
  8. There was about 1/16" of play in the crank shaft on the clutch side. There was a little squeak before xmas but it had got worse. We assumed it was the clutch so replaced the shoes, springs and needle bearing but once we had dont that, the noise was more internal. We stripped it down more and ran it on idle and we think we have pin pointed the issue. Now had to justify to the boss getting the saw repaired as it has had problems starting from cold within 6 months of having it.
  9. Did that this morning and was still squealing. Both with the clutch fully installed and without. We even tried it without the bar and chain on with the clutch fully installed.
  10. Cut up 99 12ft x 4 inch poles into 6 ft lengths and pointed the lot in 5 hours. With a beasty MS362 with an 18 inch bar. It was rather meaty on the torque side as it had a little modification to the exhaust thanks to an over enthusiastic volunteer and a log. Made it sound good too.
  11. We have a MS362 which we have had from new December 2010. We recently (last month) replaced the clutch, chain brake band and needle bearing as all were nackered. All was well until today. I fired it up by the book, and it was screeching and squealing like crazy from the clutch and kept dying when small revs were applied. When it warmed up, it started fine and revved as it should. We left it an hour to cool down and it did the same again. Would it be the crank bearings on the clutch side squealing where they are seized?
  12. We use a 2 in1 sharpener every other time we sharpen our saws and seems to work well. Occasionally if we are in a rush i'll sharpen all the saws with a 3/8 chain with the dual sharpener. It certainly makes the saw more aggressive and makes the full chisel chain kick back slightly more than the semi chisel. The boss used our 362 with a 20 inch bar and a full chisel chain fresh from the box but had three passes on each tooth and he said it was a dream to use all day. What are your thoughts on the Stihl 2 in 1 sharpener?
  13. We have a plastic tray (plant watering tray) and some inco pads. We carry fuel in the vans in a sealed recycling box. The inco pads, soak up the unwanted drips and can be used a few times before they can't soak up any more.
  14. Cracking day waymarking a farm on the Dorset/ Somerset Border. Weather couldnt have been better for it. Just got two more jobs to add to the list now. Two fields over is Mendiplogs country.
  15. Everyone noticed the severe lack of pigeons flying about. We found out why the other day at work. They are all over Shaftesbury on a few fields of what was rape. There must have been 2000 flying in one massive cloud. They came over us 3 times n i wished i had the gun with me.
