  1. That guy sure loves to talk! Ha
  2. Time lapse footage cut with close up action shots of travel through the tree, like anything it is what you make it.
  3. We have recently finished filming a promotional video featuring a little narative showing the client and a timlapse tree reduction with close up action shots. Waiting for it to be edited together by the conpany we employed to film. Should be good. We also had an induction video made up to automate (slightly) the induction process to free up our contract managers and operations supervisors to get teams out on the road in stead of inducting new employees one by one.
  4. I met Paul at Capel Manor, super wise man and thoroughly nice chap. Went to capel manor for the AAAC Pre-audit refresher. Lots of changes headed our way. (for AAACs)
  5. Evil! its got to be evil! as its red. If it disapeared when it entered the grass it likley entered a parellel dimension. Where it is the largest spider of all. Damn those arcnid kibgs!! (shakes fist).
  6. Well there isn't much of it left now lots of new houses. i used to play in there as a child, smashing up asbesdos, starting fires and running along the roofs. Dont judge me.
  7. BOOM you guys are awesome! thanks!
  8. At the risk of getting needy, can anyone say what this could be? Found it in the grounds of a victorian mental asylum in Hellingly East Sussex whilst pricing some additional works. leaves are persistant and thick waxy etc, small yellowish buds.... check out the photos. **edit** the tree was around 15-20ft with considerable girth, i didnt get a good look but the bark was a little platey. im showing a team some works nearby there next week so will grab more photos. :-) dont worry its not coming down.
  9. Some good advice....
  10. I think I sent you my email, did you get it what were the posters said u had ?
  11. Surely, this is the true purpose ...... trees of course... Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
  12. Ok after a quick Google of that it sounds right but none of the photos really correlated with the tree I took the samples from the Dbh was around 3-400s and was around 10m in height. Ill get the lappy booted up and uploads le fotos from El digital camera's as opposed yo del mobility phonos Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
  13. Great shots! I find often decent mobile camera, is best when capturing those special moment.
  14. Love the use of ur mocker for scale :-)
  15. Could any one comment on pictures of a sample taken from a street tree near public housing at clapham station. Looks a bit laurel-y withe the formation of fruit and waxy persistant leaves. Lets hear some ideas :-) Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
  16. Ha, no I genuinely don't know, after finding a similar shot in a winter tree id book, (see link in my previous posts), I'm sure it's some fancy maple. After all there army many trees that are opposite and arnt acers, there are a few woody shrubs but this had tree like charachertistics that no woody shrub would. I guess I'm just looking for an average here but it looks like in the only one the thinks its Japanese maple. I really don't think it's persica. Iron wood is not opposite and the buds are bigger and I'm not aware that it has a downy section on most recent years growth.
  17. No I dont think so there was no paperiness I think It more likely It's some kind of ornamental japanesey maple.
  18. Lol cheers got it on super macro mode. Its a 14mp Olympus utough water proof shock proofan crush proof jobby. :-) the pictures can be Better, its hard to get it to focus correctly sometimes. But thanks I love my cameras :-D
  19. Looks like you guys are getting closer. I've just unpacked my winter tree I'd book. Looks like its some kind of Japanese maple. Which would explain the slow growth, and the lack of terminal bud. I'm on my phone at the no so couldn't upload to forum. Please see link Twitpic - Share photos on Twitter
  20. no sadly not its now miles an mile away, its definitely opposite. really not sure seem so close like you say then the opposite-ness throws me off the scent.
  21. probably the closest guess so far, the bud of this pear you speak of can be glabrous /downy but i'm not sure pear's buds are ever born in pairs or are opposite... still looking.
  22. Thats what i initially thought but then noted the 'Downy' most recent section of growth beneath the bud and the buds are all in pairs whereas the terminal bud of Acer campestre typically has an apically dominant bud set between two smaller buds. this does not...... hmmmm
  23. Just tried this site an it has like six trees on it?! defiantly none of them
  24. Deffinatley not Crab Apple, twigs clearly opposite and twig is too slight, crab apple is much broader and not opposite.
  25. tried that it it didnt help id it :-D
