Never been to Hatfield mate, we are very lucky as the company I work for has the English heritage contract so we get to travel and see lots of big trees and castles :-). Il get some more pics up of audley end soon. -

A day in total we also reduced some weight off some limbs lower down in the crown. It's a great tree that low lateral is fascinating must be 50ft long. -

Add a washer to the screw aswell it takes more stress off the colar.

Got my myself a foot ascender and gave it ago today with my sj I also made a bigger bridge using a sling so I could get a better pull, worked like a treat :-) cheers. Boys

Abit off subject but has anyone adjusted the wood stop so it's less of a push upwards to grip the rope? I done this and found I had more control over decent.

see I tried tachyon but found that tougher on the hands I prefer pi much softer.
