  1. We are just in the middle of reducing some weeping willows and thought I would have a go at foot locking I have a foot ascender also but can't help but feel that foot locking is better just wondered what you guys use and why . I feel the benefits for me is that it seems to advance better and also when I am done there is nothing on my foot
  2. Cheers mate I have loved the zermats the only problem is they are starting to fall apart the sole has all but gone and the eyelets have torn away all after just one year such a shame because they are great with spikes and so comfy I might have to look into airstreams
  3. I'm going to send them back and get something else cheers anyway
  4. I'm Part German mate . So nothing really interesting to say on why they are not good boots then .
  5. I got a pair of airpower gold Haix boots today the shop I ordered from dident have my preferred boot I haven't worn them out yet and am not sure if I might send them back they feel like their going to hurt my feet ? . Has anyone else been using them who could tell me if there actually any good .
  6. We had the grey plastic bit that is attached to the spring fracture off the saw was dangling in half this was in the middle of a very serious call out in wish I had the 201t at the time the build quality is much better this said I was really enjoying the power of the husky before this such a shame . They are looking into the damage as a warranty issue and replacing the tool strop although we had no problem with it unlike the 150t that fell from the tree the other day that will be going back which is a shame as it's my favourite saw
  7. Hi tony hope you are well:) . Is this a pollard leaving sap risers or just a reduction I have loads of willows to do soon and I am wondering what you think on the matter is it best to re establish a reduction from previously pol larded trees . Most remove all fresh re growth I have done both depending on what client wants I always push for the best option for the tree but you know what I'm up against .
  8. Cheers dan just had a look at the review and would trust your opinion as I know you live and breath arboriculture and are dedicated to keeping things moving in the business not just a show pony like many out there who have all the gear and no idea

The books I am most interested in is the rigging and the SRT books . Cheers again hope to see you at a show in the future . Also just before I go is the easy lift compatible with the Stihl HT 101 we use it with both chainsaw and hedge trimmer head

  16. Would you advise leaving pruning until the winter to the client .
  17. Really sick of all this to be honest the tree still stands as far as I am aware unless someone else has felled it not ( benchmark ) . I have actually done my best to save the tree as I would not like to see it felled and have spoken to the tree officer again today about the whole thing we have done nothing wrong as a company . The only thing I did was advertise the wood for sale not for personal gain just to help out anouther arb talker and client I did make it known that we did not have the job to the people who are interested through pm .
  18. Very nice reduction silky and secateurs I would think
  19. No TPO on this tree and not in a conservation area . My boss had a word with the tree officer and he said it would be a shame but if the guy wants a fell then that's his choice . I will speak to the other tree officer on Monday and ask if there is anything that could be done
  20. None of the reasons above are anything to do with why the client wants it taken down . I will be talking to the council about this tree tomorrow see if there is anything I can do if not Im afraid I will have to go ahead with the work it is a great shame
  21. HI geoff it is on the grounds of a cottage
  22. I totally agree but I could not talk him out of it .
