    Organ Donation.

Never thought organ donation to be a big deal but its not an opinion shared by my other half. If I don't need them and they are of any use to anyone/several people then I say help yourselves. But I do need to consider his feelings too as I imagine its tough to think of your partner being used it this way after they've gone. If a member of my family needed a replacement part I'd be praying for one to arrive even though good news for us meant horrible news for another family somewhere. Weirdly though perhaps, I don't feel comfortable in donating blood as my mum has CIDP which may have been caused by her donating blood many years ago.
  3. Awesome. I'm just glad I got the id right! It was roadside in the wonderland that is HIGH......wycombe. Am looking forward to seeing what else I can find.
  4. Am enjoying watching this competition hugely and wanted to join in. I'm definitely no expert but here goes..... 1 - Phallus impudicus 2 - Lycerpodon Perlatum 3 - Ganoderma resinaceum (???) Although I took this in late August so doesn't count but I would like to know what it is. * awaits immediate correcton*
  5. Here's ours. I hope this works cos I just persuaded the other half to pop outside and take the photos.
  6. There's a 'Fine Bush Lane' near where I live, and my dad , being a keen bowler, has played away at the nearby 'Ladygate Club' on Ladygate Lane.
  7. That's great, sounds like the information I'm looking for at this time. Thanks for the quick reply. Will be downloading the booking form later.
  8. Just a couple of quick questions. When is the next course running and what is the format? I know that I just missed one. Sounds very interesting, I see from the website that it's aimed at both those entering the profession and those preparing for AA Approved Contractors status, just wanted to make sure I wasn't biting off more than I could chew. Cheers.
  9. Thank you for the quick replies. Will be a couple of days before I'm over that way again but will get some decent photos. Will press the customer a little harder too over what his main concerns are as it seemed to be "we would love to keep the tree, but financially etc etc..". Cheers again.
  10. Was hoping that my first post wasn't going to be a question but ' in for a penny'. I have been asked to take a look at a large multi-stemmed ornamental cherry which stands at around gutter height to the front of a customers house. It has been 'pruned' hard before, several years ago (not by me) and has subsequently become 'hollow' at the site of the previous cuts, it also has what I can only describe as a jelly fungus on other dead wood within the tree. It does however continue to flower well and come in to leaf each year. The tree is a real family favourite and if it were well out of the way I'd be inclined to leave it to its own devices, however it is at the front over the drive. I'm not sentimental ,and my first instinct is removal due to it's position as safety has to come first, however it is quite impressive despite its problems and I wondered if there if any merit in trying to prune it back beyond the rot and give it a chance. Apologies for the lack of photos, I took plenty but the quality is too poor. Gotta love the iphone.
