  1. Hey Guys, The product is in fact already made and has been extensively tested by our Aspen friends in Germany. I get the idea that the first aid kit is welcomed by some and not by others so i hope we can supply this as optional. obviously this is only aimed at people who use aspen and it really does work great with the Aspen 5L cans. i will put up a video early in the week to show you guys how they attach to the holder as well as how the oil container works. (it has a pull out spout). Both the oil and the fuel can is removed from the holder when you refill and this only takes 1 simple click which makes refuelling and oiling very easy. As for the comment about fuel damaging the plastic, Aspen contains no solvents compared to normal fuel (35%) so this should not be a problem. have a nice weekend! Axel
  2. the price of aspen includes £0.5895 of road duty per litre just like normal fuel. yes its more expensive but ask anyone who uses it and they will tell you its worth it.
  3. first aid kit is also removable should you wish to leave it at home, in the van or maybe even tie it to your dog.
  4. Obviously common sense has to be used when using this carrying handle. ie, removing the can when filling up your machine with fuel or oil. This is also only meant to be used with bio oil and alkylate petrol which is much safer to the user in the first place. its also common sense to throw the first aid kit away should you somehow manage to empty the contents of your fuel can onto it. but apart from that, all contents in the first aid kit are sealed so hygiene should not be an issue. This device isn't too everyone's liking but I feel you are being overly negative on something which is in fact a good idea.
  5. This is what youve all been waiting for, or maybe what you didnt know that you were waiting for? This is the prototype of the new Aspen combi can unit which allows you to carry your 5L can of Aspen, your bio chain oil and also a first aid kit (removable should you not want to carry it around). together with the Fillpartner filler neck this is the complete solution for refueling/oiling. The white can in picture is a 3L bottle. We will now be supplying the Aspen bio Chain oil in this size which clips straight on to the combi unit for ultimate conveniance. lets hope that you wont ever need to use the first aid kit but should you hurt yourself out on site its perfect to have it with you instead of having to walk back to the van! Prices and availability date TBC
  6. usually older saws like yours dont tend to suffer from problems described originally in this thread. however i do recommend that you dont wear your best shirt for the first few tanks as you will probably find that the initial emissions will be quite dirty considering that Aspen will be cleaning out over 10 years worth of carbon deposits from regular fuel! After this you should be left with a machine which performs better than the day you brought it Axel
  7. Matty has hit the nail on the head with this one. The additive he is referring to is solvents, up to 35% in normal fuel (0% in Aspen). Solvents is the reason why normal petrol stinks, makes your eyes sore and gives you a headache. The problems you are experiencing are still quite rare and only seem to happen to a few types of saws (varying quality in seals etc). if you replace the seals which are causing you problems and keep using Aspen then this problem wont arise again. Best Regards Axel
  8. The 25L cans will be available in the not to distant future.
  9. Hi guys, i've got some questions about what kind of bio chain oil you guys use and why. which size container would suit you best and why? do you buy the cheapest oil or the best and why? what do you currently pay for a 20-25 Litre container? any other information you have about your current oil would be great! Thanks Axel@Aspen (p.s sorry if I have put this in the wrong section)
  10. all orders from shops get delivered within 2-3 working days (90% of the time on the 2nd) and quick delivery times is something that we are very good at. I think the problem is that the shops you are buying aspen from aren't keeping large enough stock or are waiting until they have run out before placing a new order. All of the shops we supply Aspen to are seeing large increases in Domestic customers purchasing the fuel which could be why you are experiencing this problem.
  11. Want to start using Aspen fuel but don't like the idea of storing large volumes at home? wouldn't it be easier if you could pick up a couple of cans of Aspen from your local chainsaw supplier when you go and pick up spares? As an incentive for you to help us establish more aspen dealers we will give you 3 cans of Aspen2T ready mixed fuel FOC if you succeed. all you have to do is tell them about our products and get them to give me a call and I will sort the rest. Your free fuel will then be sent to the shop along with their first order! Any shops who sell Garden machinery or chainsaw spares are suitable to become an Aspen dealer. if you would like me to send you some information which you can give to the shop then just drop me an email/pm or give me a call. for current Aspen dealers please see http://www.find-aspen.co.uk Best Regards Axel @ AAOIL Direct number: 01929 555971 Mobile: 07738642550 Email: [email protected]
  12. Well done for starting this. Is there going to be some kind of online petition form? if so then please forward it to myself and I will pass it on to all of our customers. This is something we are working on but obviously it will work a lot better if its coming from the likes of yourselves and not from us directly. please let me know if you require any further information from us. Kind Regards Axel Hildebrand Aspen Fuels
  13. nice to see so many people speaking out about how they like our products . if anyone needs any information or help about aspen just drop me a message or give me a call. /Axel 01929 555971
  14. Just spoke to the man in question and it seems he wad never intended to be a dealer of Aspen. Think Jon who used to work for us must have gotten confused and set him up on the dealer list. I have removed him from the list now. oh, and yes he does live on a boat but its still floating!
  15. no worries Rob, was nice to put a face to a name! will pop over tomorrow before the rush sets in and drop some bits of for you
  16. Regarding a show special price. we wont be selling any fuel on site for obvious safety reasons. but please come speak to us at the show and we might be able to offer you some deals on delivery Regards Axel
  17. Hi there, Have you tried giving them a call? i know that a lot of the garden machinery shops that sell aspen are elderly and don't tend to be so keen on using emails! i will try and get hold of them when i am back from the show.
  18. well done for contributing to charity dan! The childrens trust is an excellent cause. As for the rest of you, you will have to be quicker next time! Hope to see many of you at the show and lets keep our fingers crossed for the weather:thumbup1:
