  1. Leeds is only 30 mins away, I'm 2 mins from m1
  2. 2 tons of quality ash for less than a dumpy bag of crap. Thought I'd have had more takers
  3. Hgv are the way forward we did 3 big 50ft sycamores today! All chip in 7.5 t all timber in 18 t plus Stumpgrinding arisings. Most tree teams would have struggled doing one in a day with a transit
  4. It maybe tree surgery related. But at £20 a ton for quality firewood it's a steal. The smaller stuff is ideal for diy firewood! A 2 ton trailer load of ash is £40 quite a few builders bags there

  10. I came into the industry at 34 after 15 years in the army, I didn't have a clue, I got my 30,31,38,39 worked for myself and full time for a big firm as groundie / driver. Moved on to a bigger and better firm! I now manage all aspects of our contracts in my area as well as full time on the tools. I'm not the best climber or tree surgeon. But you need a lot more than tree experience in this game. I can manage people, assets, quote works and interact at all levels. There is a lot more to tree work than trees. Climbing and cutting a tree is only a very small part! Get out there and get what you want! It's the only way
  11. When you send your email really sell yourself mate! Better still visit the companies in person! Harder to say no to your face!

  14. Looking to hire in an avant / bobcat with front timber grab to clear some timber out of a cemetery. Job located in chesterfield. Price with operator please. One day's work max
  15. We use an 18t iveco with hiab with toothed bucket pulling a 3.5t trailer with Stumpgrinder on back. We predominately do street trees. This allows me to grab all the timber and a risings from felling and grinding the tree. We couldn't possibly be productive without this set up. It's so much easier. No ringing up of timber and no shovelling of the arisings. No brainer in my opinion
  16. Yeah it's behind the butchers
