  1. At least we have plenty of young men of fighting age. The number goes up by 800 daily.
  2. OK, so apart from the olives, squashed grapes and dismembered pigs, what has the EU ever done for us?
  3. Never been totally sure what Europe produces that we can’t. Never been totally sure what we produce that Europe can’t. Always thought trade between us and the EU was a bit pointless.
  4. I am cool with my neighbours bin emptying being prioritised over mine though, as I’d rather not look at everyone else’s crap blowing about in the wind - and I can trust myself to manage mine.
  5. Round here it’s quite the opposite. The patrols all seem to leave the town centres before it kicks off at the weekend, and hole up in nice quiet rural lay-bys until it all passes over.
  6. I wonder how much all the toilet-door-gender-reassignment / re-reassignment has cost on this planet so far? If not an aircraft carrier, it may have covered the cost of a mid-range frigate.
  7. Nice work and all…. …. but, per square metre, this must be the most inefficient configuration of hedge / drive / lawn / shed I’ve ever seen.

    Jokes???

    TCD wouldn’t like those stumps.
  9. Am I wrong? Yes Are you suggesting it goes to the NHS or the injured persons? No It is stated in the HSE docs that it goes to them to fund further HSE enforcement/action. Should be on their website. Don’t think so. I think you may be getting a criminal prosecution mixed up with a civil claim. The HSE doesn’t fine you, they would present a case against you, but you would be prosecuted by a judge or magistrate at a criminal court. If found guilty, the judge / magistrate would decide If a fine was appropriate, and decide how much. The money goes to the Treasury.
  10. @kram What on earth makes you think this?

    WOW

Sounds like a succinct summary of my career.
  13. Be a lamb, and pass me her details please.
  14. In that kind of location, it’s also worth bringing along a really good driver.
  15. 100 dollar billy.
  16. I was thinking of the chrome ‘eyebrows’… …Popular on Mini headlights in the 80’s. Probably not RoSPA approved any more.
  17. What kind of Crap question is that?
  18. This is about my limit:
  19. Bless her - so engaged, kids are great at that age. My kids are all mid-teens and mid-twenties now….. those are great ages also. If you dislike wallpapering, be sure to never try plastering!
  20. It certainly more than leant a fairway over.
  21. I know what you mean, the most exhausting bit of crane jobs like that is singing Miley Cyres’ Wrecking Ball at opportune moments. Well, it’s exhausting for the poor sods who have to listen, anyway.
