  1. Hi Paul we have just became Arb approved is it possible for us to sort the trustmark out aswell as cheers Tom

I have a gx390 honda engine fitted to my crane trailer and fed up with the pull start keep breaking after a while of use so I have brought a electric start kit and fitted everything except wiring diagram I have got of the net doesn't match the colour of wires supplied with the electric start I am just after some pictures of one fitted so I can see which wire goes into which any help is well appreciated thanks in advance tom

We had our assessment Monday with Chris Cooper-Abbs and was a really great day I was nervous as hell and have worked so hard towards it but Chris put us all at ease and was a generally knowledgeable day and hopefully will help moving our company on further and thankfully passed our first assessment still wanting to know if i am one of the youngest Arb approved managers though at 24 as Chris wasn't sure

I also own one of the above it's a botex 38 compact crane powered by a honda gx390 engine jas p Wilson no longer build these as I understand it and there is only a very small amount ever built not to derail your thread I also have a mitsubishi compact tractor and a kanga loader and I would go with one of the small loaders available as I rarely use the tractor on site as is pretty useless apart from on a big open site and the small loaders are great boxer avant multione kanga are all great machines in my opinion

I think steve is right if everyone signed up to aa contractor it would give joe public or even a commercial client a logo and a set standard to look out for when employing a company to do works for them and would eliminate most the sub standard work in the industry I myself was sceptical about the aa contractor scheme myself having contacted Paul the start of this year but I have now just booked my assessment day for 16th jan 2014 and while nervous I think it will be a great achievement for my company and whilst I work to a high standard there is always room for improvement and hopefully the aa will help me as a person and also help improve my company further so why would you not want to be part of it we all want rid of the rogues don't we

  12. x fits are rubbish fall apart after 6 months use like all stihl trousers stretch air trousers have got to be the best on the market and I own 3 pairs of type c and have not had a problem with them apart from zips on pockets have gone on one pair but have had them 18 months and when washed look like new hope this helps
  13. hi mark I brought them October 2012 I have never ever had a problem but out of the ones I ordered I think I have snapped 3 or 4 I have recently brought some more and not had a problem with those ones must just be a weird batch or something cheers tom
  14. I run multi tip on my little predator and my sc252 Vermeer and are the best and never had a problem until recently the last few teeth have snapped or seem to wear down really quickly but I just put it down to a bad batch or something but have always served me really well
  15. I have got 2 of the 150t they are great for reductions and ever so light I even use mine for small takedowns my 201t ain't been out for a while as these are cracking saws well impressed so far

  18. Yes forgot to mention that want to be able to pull the odd tree over with it and drag timber to my timber crane trailer and pull myself out if I get stuck should I have a discreet winch mount or front bumper mount cheers Tom

Hi all I have recently treated myself to a landrover discovery 3 commercial and have fitted quite a few mods since buying it and now I am after a winch and bumper can anyone give me some help in which winch to go for and ideally recommend someone to fit it for me also any help is greatly appreciated cheers Tom
