They are seeing more 186 cases brought in by the police (dumped) and known previous 'patients' being re-admitted for crimes that 5 years ago would have been in Broadmore and their ilk. She is getting out of it next year as assault from 'inmates' (not allowed to call them that. Not PC) is getting more common....and they get paid less than a starting PCSO. I lived in Mid and Eastern seaboard US for several years and the attitude in almost all states makes far more sense. The Castle Doctrine should come 'back' to these shores sooner rather than later IMHO. Here's hoping?

Doubt it. Numpties will buy anything over this Xmas period and cold snap just to have something 'warming in the grate'. Not that it will do much of that but the local supermarket will do a roaring trade in firelighters....and later the local sweep in tar build-up removal.

I suffer the same problem and when I started driving halogens were the norm The problem seems to be increased these days by poorly adjusted headlights and those that think front fogs/'driving lights' need to be on 24/7. 'Yes, you can see better with 4 halogens running but I could also see better when I leave my full beam on'. My initial solution was to get prescription glasses with an anti-reflective coating. This helped a bit and I also drive with the rear view 'clicked up' to reduce the glare. But this pair are so scratched to make that coating now pointless The comment about laser eye correction. I thought that either of the srd traetments made your eyes more sensitive to bright lights?

I only cut firewood for our own burner but twice this week I have been stopped and asked if I sell logs. Good business there for someone if they have the time; the logs and the customers will pay a fair price....that is the main problem?

Placed an order Tuesday lunchtime with http://www.NewSawChains.co.uk in Christchurch for a new bar and a few chains for the 044. Cust service guy e-mailed and texted back within the hour to say they would be out that day, and with me the next (Wednesday). Very prompt I thought and a good sign when dealing with a new Co. Now I know it is the Xmas post so I expected a day or so delay. It is now Saturday and any sign of them....no. What I should have done is drive down and pick up (20 miles from me) but their postage was reasonable (cheaper than fuel) and the promised delivery was fast. mmmmmm. What I have to say is their prices are good and I hope they pull their finger out or that one point in their favour is worth nowt. I am probably jumping the gun but has anyone else used them and what were your experiences? Paul

Hi all. New to the forum and just thought I would pop me head above the parapet as it were? Cut wood for the log burner at home by mainly helping out other locals that need trees gone and I need wood so.... Saws currently Husky 141 15", Husky 350 18" and Stihl 044 24" all with muffler mods and minor tweaks. Arb work is not my day job. Most of the time it's carrying out engineering work in the pharma industry and hopping all over the globe. But the family need to keep warm after all? Cheers, Paul
