  3. hows craig nptc tickets do not run out,but you do need to refresh,if you use saw on a daily basis i think its every 5 years and not on a daily basis every 3 years:blushing: someone will correct me if i am wrong:001_huh:
  4. your ok mate, dont lose a days wages:lol: ive read some off your posts and repect due for good honest helpful answers. i will lend you my blanky if i can borrow your tractor a week tuesday:thumbup: mates...
  5. so watch your back,i have the main man as back up:001_tt2:
  6. i am not complaining, just stating a fact! that was explained to me by hse,an employer has to supply ppe. like you say the council will provide most prob, cheap examples and my own gear is comfy, warm and a bit more expensive and i will wear it when i am subbing,i am out there no complaints, just do the job and a good job, working all day soaked through to the underpants and prob change 3 times, dont get the wrong impressions of me regarding 1 thread i work in my local area for myself and do ok,the customers are always happy and i have return work year after year, and get more new customers every year, dont get me wrong i never turn down any work.its just quiet at moment. the company i sometimes sub for, when they have work in region, they always give me a call to work for them, the boss said to me one day after i had worked for them on many occasions "martyn we;ve been through 800 welsh idiots and you are the cream of the crop" that made me feel proud:001_cool: martyn
  7. been looking for avatar with a silly tractor with lights on,seen one
  8. thanks rupe a straight honest answer, with no abuse:thumbup1: only stating what was the response from talking ti HSE?
  9. the point is,the agency will be my employer, but the council will have the say on who they take on!the agency say i am at a advantage because i am the only one to apply with climbing tickets and they would be looking for a climber! so if the council say we want him[me],then i tell the agency they have to supply ppe, they are going to say to council, they have to supply ppe and will not so i dont get the job,but the next person down the line, they will have to supply them any way [HSE law] as hitting your ppe with saw goes, there always a 1st time and are you using saw full time!
  10. sink your teeth into this one guys! i am self employed and do a bit of subbing, but at the moment things are slow! so looking about for some temp work, found groundwork [must have chainsaw ticket] its through an agency but will be working for the council,so the agency will be my employer they are just waiting for the council to give the nod the agency said thats all i need is trousers, boots, gloves and helmet? well being self empolyed ive got them, but i said to the wife, that an employer buy law has to supply ppe.so phoned HSE and i was spot on,even if they employe me for 1 day then they have to supply. so if i get the nod, they got a bit of shock:001_huh: not being funny chaps, the money is not great, but its work for now and i dont fancy buying myself new trouser at £160 and boots at £140,if i was to cut them when by law employer has to supply martyn

  13. so i think the outcome of the thread, after all the responses, boils down to this gypsy girls dont wear alot, they have a good set of knockers, and are not bad looking with a tidy body[on this program] they dont drink, they do what they are told, they like a bit of grabbing, they are house proud and do all the cleaning etc:thumbup: so my question is,where do i get one:lol: you will always have tree work
  14. so much for tradition:001_huh: must dash, ive got to go and hunt a few wolves with my golden eagle:lol:
  15. thought they had to stick to the gypsy community for a partner, did not think they could date/marry any one outside due to gypsy tradition
  16. now thats what you call a convenience store:lol:
  17. told you fella they are loaded:confused1: read a small write up in paper a few years back, where they raided a gypo site and found £120,000 in a caravan, they had been going round doing tree work, and one old chap was told £80 and then they charged £800,what could the old chap do,was prob frightend to death:confused1: on another job they were cutting down a few trees and a garden owner got suspicious when one of them started cutting down a telegraph pole covered in ivy:lol:
  18. to be honest mate where i am in south wales, there are no sites! gypos have not set up around here for years, mind you its only a small semi rural village and theres not much action here for them! when i was a kid they used to set up on the local welfare ground, until they had a fall out with some locals and had a caravan set on fire:blushing: tell you what though, they are well loaded, when they were here in the mid 80s my dad would have a cortina mk4 and they were knocking about in cosworths:confused1:
  19. nice i only passed cs38/39 in aug 2010 [proclimber:thumbup1:] so i could do with a bit more practice,i do a bit of rec climbing local get the xmas belly down will add to friends, easy contact:thumbup1:
