  9. agree with that 100% had the same problem with a 254xp,if you put the chain on saw would cut out,if brake was off chain would spin.. problem,snapped spring in clutch..

  14. i bought a 372xp just before xmas,was in for the 560xp but they were having a few teething probs,when getting warm very hard to start,there are a few chaps on here who bought one and are now raving about them:sneaky2: hope to pick one up this year.. dont regret buying the 372 though,awesome machine:thumbup:

NO,because i dont use stihl groundsaws only husqvarna,i use stihl climbing saws i was subbing for a company doing a bit of forestry,i was using my 346xp and at the end of the day would leave in the companies unit,but unit was broken into and all saws taken [including my own] we were supplied the 261s by the company,i used for a few weeks and asked when my stolen saw was going to be replaced,they said i could keep the 261 but i did not want it,i said i wanted another husky,so they give me a 357xp. my mate still works for the company and i think they still have problems.
  18. yep! welcome to club ms261.. had 5 brand new 261s doing a bit of forestry,needle bearing were being smashed too bits on a regular basis? yes the cage is plastic:thumbdown:
