  10. that sounds like an absolute bargain! I got quoted these prices yesterday from a conventional printers; 250 business cards printed full colour on cream textured board £74.00 500 would be £85.00 250 DL flyers would be £99.00 500 would be £119.00 and 1000 would be £138.00 with a little re-designing of the logo,is this normal kinda prices can someone tell me?!
  11. i think....now dont quote me on this.. fungi all have different properties,some degrade within weeks/months of fruiting like honey fungus.other last years like ganoderma,somtimes you can count the defined ridges on the top as a new years growth forms on the underside. like image--- http://www.messiah.edu/Oakes/fungi_on_wood/poroid%20fungi/images/G%20applanatum%20layers.jpg at a guess the last one is 4+ years old,but after the spores have taken hold i dont know how long it takes the fungus to fruit,anyone?
  12. peter-yes it is several twisted strands.. and indeed its tough as an old boot,as well as having been climbed for a couple years maybe itl go in the wash then straight on to fleabay thanks for the replys everyone

Good afternoon ladies and gents, can anyone help me out here,splicing is very new to me but i thought id give it a bash. currently trying to splice beal bonsai,which is a horrible rope in itself.. -am i dealing with 16strand here? just wondering which instructions to follow..if anyones got a good link?i was looking at the sampson splicing instructions.. aswell as this vid [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elhb2W4jX9o&feature=related]YouTube - 16 Strand Eye Splice Part 1[/ame] iv got as far as pulling the core out lol cheers!

  15. thanks for the advie jose,i was thinking its probably not worth the risk too.spoke to the main dealer in kent he said £3950 or thereabouts for the complete new rig.think i may have to just bite the bullet.

  18. cordless drill and a good size drill bit and bore in deep several times in within the 15cm,might work?
  19. iv been looking to get one for my ranger too,but the prices are ridiculous..so im going to have a go at putting one together myself,you could try getting matey with a steel fabricator..i reckon theyd do it for half the price of ARB etc.. when i get round to mine il post pics.. good luck anyways bud
  20. its in a field so the looks arent too important its to prevent windthrow,amazingly they didnt succumb to the winds in the past month! i shall adopt the '1/3 maximum' rule then,thanks matey
  21. just looked at a line of 20, 70 or so foot tall trees...how much can they be topped without killing them? i was thinking 20 foot to be safe but they could theoretically withstand half am i right?
  22. i seee,i think im going to try and address the problem myself,i was thinking of welding together then bolting some long verticle hinges with some trusty padlocks at the bottom..we'l see
