  1. pholiota mutibalis, there in the books commonly, just difficult to get from photos till familiarised. did you find the big beech?
  2. not a conservation area nor TPO trees, and I wouldnt mind but this is AFTER I emailed the client of these developers regarding BS5837 in no uncertain terms. since information has been delivered trenching has been carried out along a line of Oaks, a play ground has been erected and soil levels raised over RPAs this site used to rival Kew in its hey day and was the scene for many avengers programs. This is not a case of ignorance, they became aware of the standards 6 months ago or longer, so I am going to write once more and inform them of my utter disgust and refuse to work there again as it is clear they have no interests in quality workmanship or tree health care.
  3. absolutley its not important, really, at the end of the Day Arbtalk has provided many thousands of people with exactly what they NEEDED at the time they came asking, searching for it, whether it was a health and safety question or is this fungi dangerous, can i eat it blah blah. You yourself have the capacity to express some very intersting thoughts about some pretty heavy subjects so why dont you stop worrying about what everyone else wants or does and just do you thang? your a funny old fish Paul
  4. I would say your hunch is on the money though it is VERY fresh and still maturing, lets have another gander in a fortnight or so

This happens to me all too often, I go nuts for events CPD and ATF events, unpaid days and trips to romania its crunch time right now! Got one last jolly with the ATF at Hatfield then a winter of paying the price 7 days a week for a summers fun and learning! and next year i will do it all over again! you know why, cos I blooming loves it, money just cant compensate this life I live, broke and happy as a pig in the proverbial!
  13. ha, spikey teeth not upper:thumbup1:
  14. In the U.K we have a great oportunity to prevent these things, were an island. One port, one control agency is the answer Im still working out the legal side and how we could practicaly deal with this situation. a ban on imports may not be achievable as crazy as it sounds, the french have already been stung in trying apparently. when I know a LOT more about the details I will come back to this, I was sent a reality check last night so got some work to do.
  15. Hydnum repandum is the latin name by the way, could not think how to spell it earlier!
  16. the connies looking fine, no scorching, no dessication of foliage, might even have made a little growth! lmao got back to check on her today, bit of hedging for same client.
  17. Is this issue JUST about ONE pathogen? Do you know how lax the border is on this kind of thing? do you know how many pathogens and issues have been shipped from this source in the last thirty years? go look it up and then tell me. Im sorry but your response was a bit pessimistic, i choose optomism and its not just about this one disease
