    I thought maybe my two no1 fans was having a little play! my count froze, and was going up as soon as I mentioned it, then only every third post. I know what those two are like, they loves a game! wasnt being melodramatic was saying the games up boys! and even then my count for the day is on 15809 a lot more posts Ive made today, but its software issues im told, not the boys twisting with my melon!

    A qualified arboricultural assesor would have to make the final call, HSE and Insurance companies HAVE to use expert opinions too you know

    that is a very great shame, this tree is just begining the most interesting portion of its life, it could now provide substrate for the rare hericiums, like erinaceus in the stem, and maybe cirrhatus on the fallen timber if allowed to remain in situ. It is down to us all to at least try at every oportunity to offer solutions that are in keeping with tree ecology.

    good, I wonder if its the same crew I kicked of Whippendell last year, they tend to find another site when one is too much agro. There needs to be some way of stopping this rather than just seeing them off one site only for them to appear on another:thumbdown:

    Ashridge is a very special place, Ive spent hundreds maybe even a thousand hours or more round the park, but frishden beeches is the creme de la creme of it. Absolutley classic beech woodland habitat with all the species present that you might associate with ancient beech woodland, a very good place to study the eco system that is beech woodland:thumbup1: Home to hericium cirrhatus:thumbup1:

    not a conservation area nor TPO trees, and I wouldnt mind but this is AFTER I emailed the client of these developers regarding BS5837 in no uncertain terms. since information has been delivered trenching has been carried out along a line of Oaks, a play ground has been erected and soil levels raised over RPAs this site used to rival Kew in its hey day and was the scene for many avengers programs. This is not a case of ignorance, they became aware of the standards 6 months ago or longer, so I am going to write once more and inform them of my utter disgust and refuse to work there again as it is clear they have no interests in quality workmanship or tree health care.

    absolutley its not important, really, at the end of the Day Arbtalk has provided many thousands of people with exactly what they NEEDED at the time they came asking, searching for it, whether it was a health and safety question or is this fungi dangerous, can i eat it blah blah. You yourself have the capacity to express some very intersting thoughts about some pretty heavy subjects so why dont you stop worrying about what everyone else wants or does and just do you thang? your a funny old fish Paul
