You will need the legal right to work in Canada, that probably means a working holiday Visa, obtained via the IEC program. Pay range, $28-$45 Cad$ per hour, 25-40hrs a week. You might even find a bear in a tree onsite!

Ive gone back to Yale Blaze recently. I like it both SrS and MrS. Im on the light side, so skinny is good for me with the wrench. Find it very static for long ascents. Havent used any mechanicals however.

Its an interesting conundrum. Id say in the UK, fear of theft etc would deter companies from prominent 'yards'. Everywhere I worked when in the UK was hidden in an industrial area, or down a farm track, never outward facing signage. Here in Canada, theft is not an issue, but you never see big roadside advertising for tree firms, I do wonder if it would be helpfull though, put the company name in peoples heads. Truck signage however is very effective in my mind. I wouldnt know how France differs, Id be tempted to give it a go for a year maybe 2 and see, its only a lock up, not hard to move into and out of.

Buy cheap, buy twice. Spikes will last a decade easily, they are cheap. Ive been on DMM distel geckos since 2014. Velcro tops, leather bottoms. Tried velcro bottoms, crap! Straps dont need to be super tight, just snug.

Agree. That is a pretty small chipper though. I run an 8t dump truck and dump trailer, tracked chipper in the trailer. Can stick the grinder or mini skid in also, if I squeeze them in. Its all about the versatility for me. Can be a slight annoyance unloading the chipper for a small job, or sometimes having to unhitch the trailer on the street to get into a small driveway. Pays off when I can track into the back yard and chip onsite, or when I need more than 1 machine onsite.

Its pretty impressive for the money. But you do need to be handy with the spanners, and dont be suprised when it wont start. Im happy enough, but I will upgrade as soon as I can.

Ive just got a muck grab type currently, and the standard bucket. Again, not alot of choice in manufacturers of grabs, and $$$$.

I have an AGT KTT23. The options over here in BC are somewhat limited. No Sherpa, Skidster or similar. There is a Cast dealer, or its Vermeer. The machine was $5k cad. Next option would be a Workyquad 11hp at $26k. For me it was a low cost way to see how much I will actually use a machine, if it proves usefull I will upgrade. The machine has the 23hp Rato motor. Its a honda clone, but its pretty crap. I see myself putting a genuine honda in it at some point. So far its doing what it needs to, but you need to be a little handy with the spanners. Alot of metal for the money!
