  1. Does anybody on here use or own a palax power 90 s firewood processor??Thinking of upgrading my palax power 70 s machine

NFU wont insure roadside timber unless its got a 6ft high steel fence around it.Daft i know but i asked the question cos i normaly have 700ton sat drying out for firewood.There reason is daft as i said that the timber gets delivered by wagon & crane over the hedge so whats to say they wouldnt steal it in the same way.It's not unheard of around Northumberland & especialy Durham

Thats alot of manual cutting Ross.I know a guy not to far from you that has plenty of wood a processor & 3xlads that could do it for you!!I have a couple of customers who take full 8ton trailer loads i do measurement & cost by the tipping skip full 1 x skip = 1 x load = asking price.i dont knock any money off for bulk loads takes the same time wood labour etc to produce it.

  9. Do any of you guys produce and sell wood pellets for horse bedding?Just my brother sells horse feeds bedding etc & is looking to change from the company he usualy buys from he usualy gets 10kg bags premium pellets.

  14. Good evening folks just wondering do any of you's use steel banding ie for strapping nets of logs/kindling on to pallets??If so wheres best place to buy the strapping and the bands??
  15. I have a customer who was keep asking me for cheapest price on dry hardwood so i did it as cheap as i could only to find out he's been paying £129.50 a cube for latvian kiln dried logs that actualy had mould on £259.00 for 2 cube thats alot of dosh

Sorry to hear about your shoot finishing does seem abit odd the other to can continue i know the ones you mean.Ive got alot of shooting friends in the area.I'll keep my ears open for you.Why is it the wind gets up when its the end of the season and pheasants appear from everywhere im sure they know there safe!!!
  17. Just wondering has anybody ever put half rounds through a kindlet machine?I usualy put whole rounds through machine but as limited to 8"diamater ive had to half some larger diamater wood.The problem im finding is that the halfs are wanting to ride upwards or go cross over any advice?

I have a ifor williams canopy that came off my 2003 double cab pick and also a black hard top with tinted glass and windows handles broke but still usable.Again off a L200 double cab.ANY TAKERS??if you want pictures pm me your mobile number as dont know how to up load pics Willing to put on a pallet and load onto say palletways at buyers own cost & arrangement.Thanks Darren

  21. as title says.Whats happened has the world gone kindling mad!!!

We had 9" of snow in 2hours yesterday which was coming down withwind which made a severe winchill.Was minus 17 at 7 am.Still around minus 8-10 at dinner time.The place is at a near standstill spent all morning trying to get into tractor with doors frozen shut then its the task of getting them going.My mcormick tractors ran all morning and the back end oil still hasent heated up
