  1. Hey up, doe's any one know where you can get hold of the candidate workbooks for the "current" cs 38/39? Can you download them or buy them in print any where? when i last contacted nptc they said the only way to get them was to do the course.
  2. When are they coming back to finish the take down?
  3. Having a loving girlfriend who unerstands. Climbing trees..... for people who want the best results...
  4. I found a rock with my boss's saw about 3mt off the ground, my parents fig tree (australia) has a push allong mower growing into the base of the tree, and a few times doing LV powerline clearence Ive left small bocks of in grown wood hanging from the wires.
  5. hopping I get this right and my harness is on display, I could'nt get a photo of the australian standard, its says the usual things about destroying after a sigificant impact 6mt +, and then says remove from service a maximin of 10 years.. I love it, cause I'm used to it, but it is too old 1.5 years use, 7 years old, any one suggest a good replacement.

I foot lock so I don't use acenders
  8. I am out of the industry at the moment, I work at a hostel in north wales, I worked in norwich for at coombes, eden and darren french, they the only ones prepared to employ me with out 38/39.

I still do jobs for my friends from time to time, my photos are from my friend johns dead sycamore. I did'nt have any spikes so I had to leave the stubs to stand on, normaly I work a lot cleaner.

  9. yes sort of though for my sins when i started working, i lost the time to contribute, I went to log back in a year later and it was gone? the other day I tried to log in at the tree house to find the brit forum and I could'nt, so I searched for a Uk tree climbers forum and this came up.

  10. When i lived in Norwich I rang all the tree guys in the phone book, i had the 30/31 and a car, I ended up with enough ground work, tree survey, and climbing to keep me going, short of that ask at Rouse's chainsaws in Alsham, they somtimes had some inside knolege. keep a list of who you rang and what they said so that you can figure out who to follow up call. good luck Vince.
