  4. Morning folks, been meaning to ask this for a while, I have an Etesia Pro 51k mower which was bought second hand a while back and has been in the local workshop to remedy the problem I'm gonna describe now. ( they didnt fix the problem and tried to blame me for the priveledge ) The mower ticks over perfectly and drives pretty well too, but as soon as it encounters grass and is set relativley low the machine struggles massively, ie, the revs drop and it drives like a slug, however lift the height and it pretty much drives and cuts as I would expect. I have adjusted the drive cable and it has tightened up the drive belt a bit, but still the same old problem ?? The carb has been sonically cleaned by the workshop and a new air filter fitted, for which they releived me of £125, the mower wasn't tested on grass by the shop as they say it is a safety risk, flicking up stones etc, even though I was shown it working on a mixed gravel and concrete hardstanding. So do we have any ideas men ? Workshop name by pm to anyone in the area who likes value for money J.D
  5. Cheers, Literally:001_smile:
  6. Cheers Mate, I done a straight forward felling cut which I had to hang up, I then done a letterbox cut and rolled it, and a felling bar cut both of which went really well, I was really suprised how all the training came back to me, bearing in mind a 14 day wait for the assesment. J.D
  7. Special mention to Jonesie for a fantastic service and advice on all the tools I used on the course and assesment. Time for a couple of gallon of Lager now.
  8. We are thinking Transporter, it's just we aint sure how to go about it, does anybody use contract hire to do this, I've only ever bought vehicles before, so giving it back at the end of the contract is new to me. J.D

  18. Alright folks, What do you use for working under your ride on mowers etc ? I've had a mare this weekend working on an Etesia hydro 100 evo, I struggled at first ot get the ffing blades of then managed to wedge a woodruff key in the spindle housing, long story short, the deck came off and I fixed the problem, but it took hours and it was pouring down, sunday wasted and all I could use was the ramp on the back of our van to raise the deck to do the work. Is there a way of doing this preferably not one that burns a hole in me pocket ? Cheers all
  19. He owned the guns legally mate. Another point this thread made me realise was that Sellafield has a fully armed police force 24/7 and he drove right past there. Was too late for most of the victims by then of course, but surely they could have been mobilised ?
