  1. It's not running to bad, but it seems to be using 4 or 5 litres per hour at a guess mate, we have had other slightly smaller engined machines that didnt use any where near the same amount. J.D
  2. Bump, any more thoughts guys ?
  3. Cheers Jonesie. I wonder if the carb could do with a strip down and clean ( something sticking maybe ) that being the case then, It's a right thirsty bugger. I've never had anything this greedy. J.D
  4. Cheers Jonesie, that makes things a bit clearer mate. How do i adjust the mixture then I'ts the 18hp V Twin engine on board if that makes a difference ? PS, I got the equipment I rang up about the other day mate, Thanks very much
  5. Afternoon folks, i have recently purchased the above machine and all seems as it should, however the carb is giving me some problems. The mixture seems very rich, plugs are fouled excessively, fuel lasts no time at all and the exhaust fumes are black. So, I have had the air filter off and cleaned it, new fuel filter and then I tried to adjust the carb, I turned the idle screw in until it stopped, then back a turn and a half. Then I tried to adjust the screw on the bottom end (bowl) but it was tight in against the stop. On loosening the screw say half a turn petrol started leaking from the area around the screw. So, I have screwed that back in and need advice as to what to do next ? New part perhaps, or am I mistaken in thinking that this screw adjusts the mixture etc ? As for the idle screw, I have it backed off as far as possible but the engine speed is only coming down to 2000 rpm, is this a cable or linkage problem, or is it perhaps something more serious ? Cheers in advance J.D

  11. Evening men, With my CS30 31 coming up in 10 days I'm trying to put together my kit, and one of the priciest items seems to be the boots, so what in your opinion are the best value, bearing in mind I will only be using them occasionally, I dont want to spend a fortune as I still need a saw. Also, what is meant my by " non snag " outer clothing ? I have the trousers, but that's all clothes wise. J.D

  23. I will be chaining it to an industrial concrete fence post then through the chassis for starters then, a dog is a good idea, but they are time consuming from past experience. How can I electrify the chassis ?
