  1. ditto times 100. think thats 10000! they dont take no for an answer either.
  2. so, am i to take it that they did something wrong? I was taking notes for future reference........... not:001_smile:
  3. BFGs arent THAT bad on road- pretty 'polite' i reckon, and they last for ever! I have 285.75.16s on the defender, and they are loads better than the broncos i had before. Most noise on the road seems to come from really aggressive shoulders on the tyre, not so much the centre tread pattern. They do affect the power noticeably when towing and the top speed is slightly down, but thats not an issue for me, and tbh i try not to worry about mpg- i stopped when i got a defender! I have just ordered a couple more. Shop around for a price though, as they vary loads.
  4. Good mate of mine used to work all round the world on wooden hulled big old yachts. He was working in a boatyard in brazil when he was 'a bit green still' and the locals were sporting flip-flops, shorts and 3' bars, the chains so loose that you could get your whole wrist between the bar and chain. On pointing out that this may have been just a teeny bit dangerous, the answer came back "you cant cut curves with a tight chain!":scared1:
  5. I was expecting to see greenhouses crushed and cars written off tbh, and i was surprised at the amount of gear they had for "rogue traders". Expected shorts and flip-flops!
  6. That what i thought- the guy at the end who was actually climbing actually seemed to think what they were doing was ok- no wheelspins and anger from them etc etc.
  7. QUOTE=Tom D;117295]I've seen these before, or similar anyway, I think its for trimming the ends off bundles so they are all even. Heres one. http://www.logosol.com/_industrial/stackcutter/?youtube=play thumbup1:wallsaw. 100"!!!!!!!!
  8. sounds about right- it is what i sell mine for. Usually start at about £25 then end up letting it go for about 20!
  9. Nice vario that green one- looks like a useful tool. Very smart piece of kit.
  10. Jeez mr ed, really sorry to hear yet another thread on this depressingly common recurring subject. I hope you get some luck with the old bill. We are surrounded by pikeys down here, and every night i read another thread and lie awake thinking how long till they turn up here.
  11. Has to be kilned though doesnt it? My mate has just invested in a bit of kit to get rid of sawmill offcuts- it looks like an oil refinery!!!- and he kilns the lot before he can use it.
  12. coz its got entec written on it?lol:sneaky2:
  13. or for cuttig packs of already milled timber maybe, i think they are called wallsaws nowadays. Seen something like it in action but more modern. The bar is possibly the 56"(?) stihl used to do like on the 090.
  14. yippee!! Well remembered. Im the one with the pixelated face btw.....:001_tongue:
  15. I know what you mean, and i also know others who are fed up with that too!
