  1. That was directed straight at you Ian:001_tt2:
  2. What is the point in this thread, I love arbtalk and think it is a great site and have learnt loads from it. But is it just me or does there seem to be getting more and more pointless threads.
  3. Earning nothing wont pay the bills either.
  4. Both the stihl main dealers in Kent arn`t much cop especially if its a small part you want sending out.
  5. They may as well say only stihl saws can only use stihl blades etc. Think if the blade is solid its completely different to on that has swingings blades. Does amaze me they allow compact tractors with flail hedge cutters to be used without cabs. OK back to thread.
  6. I would agree there tried may different blades and lines over the years, like the blade line. But mulching blades win has down.
  7. They have been baned by HS as someone was sadly killed by one, Hope you only want it to show students what not to use.
  8. Want to say a big thanks for putting me onto the mulching blades, brought a 3 tooth and a 2 tooth bade the other week. Had a job today clearing a large walled garden with large patches of 7ft high brambles. Started off with the 3 tooth blade on my big Kawasaki, was very impressed so much better than the standard blades. Found it a little heavy after a while and the usual vibs from the machine. So put the 2 tooth blade on my fs220, found no real difference in performance once it was up to speed. Finally went over it with my great Dane gateway mower to leave a level finish. Predicted 2 days work but only got a couple of hours in the morning tidying the edges and having a small fire. Went to take some pics but batteries were flat doh.
  9. Know you said you was thinking about doing your cs32 a wile ago, well I think the time has came.
  10. Any reason the back cut is higher 1 side than the other?
  11. Should have a proper 1 but a lot of people don't bother. You will need your reg documents to get 1 made up.
  12. Yes it involves a spade:001_tt2:
  13. This looks right up his street. STHIL TREE SURGEON 20"CHAINSAW,VERY GOOD CONDITION,FAB! on eBay (end time 13-Jun-10 15:42:45 BST)
  14. Supposedly good tractors keep their money thou.
  15. TCD had a couple of the fixed ones for sale a while ago, think he sold them on ebay thou. Been looking for the adjustable head for ages me and a mate both have the power units but no head. Think they must be a bit weak, like Dean said they go for nearly new on ebay. And I don't think the heads can be repaired when the go wrong, so be wear buying a damage 1.
  16. Thought I would have a go at it with my 170:001_tt2:
  17. Ty for all the PM`s guys will be in touch when I have spoken to the manager of the property. Took a couple of pics of the tree while I was there today.
  18. Did they the newt room service and newt min bars?
  19. Totally agree with you there, after all it was the utility company paying for it.
  20. They used this fencing when putting a new pipeline through kent. It was about 20,000m and the got 3 newts.
  21. Thats true its was only me dreaming:001_smile: my treebust would beat them all hands down anyway:001_tt2:
  22. Shame with all this talk about micro chipper we couldn't get a side by side demo of the main contenders. This thing like chipping speed, manoveribilty etc.
  23. I have a customer who has a large poplar (I think) which looks to have died recently. It is approximately 20m - 25m tall a spread of 15m and a stem diameter of 1m. It is over hanging a building with a felt roof and I don't think there is Carine access but should be access for a mewp. Looks like there will be plenty on rigging on it. Don't think my NFU 6m insurance will cover it. I pointed it out to the lady who looks after the property, of which I maintain the grounds. And she has asked me if I can recommend anyone to give a quote for it. Normally pass it on to a local surgeon who don't know me from Adam, so thought I would post on here. Will try to take some pics tomorrow. Cheers Steve
