  2. nice Bit of habitat,looks to me a over due lasped pollard split out at a week union with decay from may be? laetiporus sulphureus ,good read tony:thumbup1: it would be great if money was no object and more old trees and pollards could be worked on,or if there was still the economics in using and creating them for there uses:001_smile:

  5. A few more pics from last week of how this fungi is going , be interesting when hama finds out what it is ,i imagine with the size of the crack its days are numbered be good if it coppices when snaps when it does.

  7. same place David has been for the last few years bees are making good use of a hole under the fruit on the stem and a wasps nest in the hollow at the base .

  12. hi phil hears a shot of a crack i took and the older bracket up on one of the main stems
  13. i think i have it easy work wise when hear of all the stress most of you self employed people have,i think i suffer from some sort of stress as spend every 3rd week dredding my injection for cronic neutropenia that have at a weekend because the side affects are not good been sick fever/chill for a day so couldnt work ,but things are always put in to perspective when see and hear of all the much more serious things that happen to people .

  15. we had a lot that died but do have a few with the signs that seem to be hanging on like the one in the photo and some that seem fine appart from the leaf miner hope to germinate a few conker from them trees:001_smile:
  16. Niceone tony do you go bleeding first because of the bleed been so high up into the stems? there was a fair bit of rot on the roots and trunk wear the rizo seem to start
  17. Hi could this all be down to Armilaria or is there a chance it had bleeding canker first and the Armilaria just taking advantage the rhizomorphs go right up to the 2 girdled stems . The bark was removed at brest height from a fresh bleed interested to know thancks:001_smile:

  21. I am openminded to this alway wondered if it has a effect on fungi growth and fruiting like people say with plants
