  1. Morning Excels1or, thank you for changing the thread title! I’m now starting to think it was your bad customers that were in the wrong! Sometimes a few bad ones slip through your defences, learn and tighten up the gaps! Have a good day! 👍
  2. Morning, cold and dry here!
  3. You’ve annoyed me with your thread title, right now I can only think of 1! Be a good chap and change it!
  4. Morning, up and out early. Sat in the jeep with heaters on after 2 hours in the rain with the flail! The rain still managed to run down my neck! I thought it was lifting but still steady! Beats climbing through a Connie hedge and dragging brash though! 😂
  5. Oakley doing his Uppies !
  6. Started a new project creating shelter and dry habitat areas for young Cappercaillies. On the end of the first day heading back to the jeep there were 2 scratching around on the first patch I did that morning. They took off just as I got to them but I managed to get a picture of 1 in the tree.
  7. Here! Enforced day off for me today, nice frosty morning here!
  8. Late again sorry! out early for work
  9. Afternoon, forgot to sign in earlier! Started a flailing job to create better habitat for Cappercaillie
  10. Sell your kit, bank the money and tread water for now. The security of money in your bank will help your healing process. If you need kit for future jobs, hire it in or sub in a squad.
  11. A few days working around Loch Tay with the Flailbot.
  12. Morning! another 200 mile round trip flailing! She’s currently parked up in a Bracken patch with 2 missing front teeth! Stones🤔
  13. Morning to you too!
  14. Late sign in today, Covid left me yesterday and I had a good sleep so up early and out a walk!
  15. Morning, out for a wee stroll!
  16. I agree the belt helps but I’ve too many years of abuse working for it to be a simple fix.
  17. Morning! Another sick note from me, lurgy ended up being Covid!
  18. Not replacing the Avant, there’s now 3 in my network I can get anytime within a 30 minute radius with operators. Tbh my back can’t take the bouncing about, I can only manage about 3-4 hours on the digger now! So walking and Flailbotting it is.
  19. Here, got the lurgy so day off
  20. Evening gents, apologies for late reply to Flailbot questions. This was a 60HA regen site on top of peatland that’s due restoration work next year. The foresters and land managers had never seen a Flailbot working so we’re curious to see if 1 man could do it all with this machine. The answer was very obviously no upon the site visit. But while I was there why not have a demo anyway. Where I was parked was on the road at a big turning area so as you can imagine the ground either side of the road was rocky and like the moon with 10 years of regen! So I picked the biggest trees I felt were within the machines capabilities growing in the worst bits. The video doesn’t show how uneven the ground was. Anyhoo, after 10 minutes I put the machine back in the trailer and the powers above got a mental picture of what the machine can do, these guys manage millions of HA of land and there parting words were ‘ very impressed ‘ within 5 days I had a call to ask to quote the rd verges to that site. So a worthwhile visit and the start of hopefully a new adventure.
  21. Here! Forgot myself! Got 3 hours sleep and was like a busy ball this morning
  22. Here! Suns out, crisp fresh morning.
