  1. I did it, it is what it is. Gets me on development sites where I can earn good money, it's more than paid for its self. We went on a ROLO course with a local trainer, it was held in a pub and included lunch. It was actually quite a laugh, I then went onto do gold supervisors cscs card which was quite hard as I'm not from a construction background, all tree work. Worth getting though I think, we tend to get left alone on sites and they usually comment its nice to see someone with a gold card within a gang of blokes.

A climbing harness, side strop and a nicely tuned 150t or equivalent.

Just get in there, sheer bloody determination is key.

Agreed, done my fair share of horrible hedges just keep your head down and keep going. I often where one of my normal work gloves on my right (Cutting hand) and then a thick gauntlet type glove on my left hand (Chucking hand) then just cut and chuck. Tidy up with a hedge trimmer at the end job done.

John Mason of Mason chippers has a really tidy low hrs machine in at moment, I demoed it with the view to getting a lighter machine to run on smaller jobs but ended up buying a digger instead.

That's my mates old machine. Nothing wrong with it he just upgraded to a big tp chipper. It will be a lovely machine for someone.

    Hi guys and gals,

My MS362C keeps cutting out on idle and then to start it up again you need to put it in to full throttle and yank the pull cord. Ive been just ignoring it until now but I’ve lent my 26 to my apprentice to do his CS30/31 this week.

I’ve just been cutting up a load of firewood in the yard this morning and every time I but the bloody thing down it cuts out. I’ve changed the spark over and checked the clutch springs which all seem fine. My next thought would be it’s a fuel issue and possible have the carb sorted with a computer.

I’m hoping I can just do some work bench stuff to sort it as I can’t be putting it in to the shop until I get the 26 back next week.

Any common issues these saws have that I should know about? Anything obvious to check?

    Thanks in advance

Mine never ran right from the day I bought it. Multiple trips back to the dealer then they kept hold of it for ages and delivered it back the day the warranty expired! Still wouldnt run, ended up chucking it to the back of the shed and buying a husky.

  5. My timberwolf 230 starts up and runs fine for about a minute and will then cut out.

It'll start straight up again when I turn the key but then do the same. Over and over again.

I haven't had a proper look yet but just wondered if anyone else has had similar trouble.

    Thanks.

  6. Just ordering up some chains but can't remember for the life of me what I need on my 395 with 36inch bar (see pic)

As it's not a standard size it doesn't show up on the trusty f r jones guide chart.

Anyone else run the same and remember the number of drive links?

    Cheers
