  1. Its interesting what does and doesn't make the news. I know of 3 people falling from trees within the last 3 months, all survived but fairly buggered one can work but no longer climb, the rest are cabbages. As a climber myself and personally knowing the injured people its a stomach churning thought that its happened but it makes me wonder how many serious accidents happen and go unreported.

  2. He threw his toys out the pram i think and asked to be removed from the forum. Knowledgeable chap but used to talk in riddles and talk in some funny ways. I did find it slightly irritating

  3. The 22nd June has always been a strange day for me. Always takes me back to around 22 years ago to this day. I was about to propose to my girlfriend (had the ring in my pocket) when a mate, who I was living with, Joseph barged into the room out of nowhere, tripped and fell over, breaking the glass table with his face. It was was pretty nasty and totally ruined the mood!

Now, I didn't know Joseph THAT well, don't even remember where he was from, but let' just say I had to put my plans on hold to get him to the hospital and then help him through his injuries afterwards. Bless me!

Joseph had got a big glass shard in his eye, making him completely blind in that eye. He was walking around with one of those cotton pads on his eye for a couple of months! Then suddenly, he disappeared, along with my girlfriend...

Apparently they'd bonded during the time after his injuries, and ran off together, left me behind without as much as a text. I tried to find out where they went, but never could.

In conclusion, if it hadn't been for cotton eye Joe, I'd have been married a long time ago. Where did you come from, where did you go? Where did you come from, cotton eye Joe?

  4. We have really noticed the effect of 'nesting birds' this year, we are really quiet with both commercial and domestic work. So much so im in the progress of taking my hgv licence. I know it's going to be a useful asset within tree work and just another thing to fall back on should work go really quiet.

  5. Got a customer, a regular chap who's good as gold no question asks if you know what i mean. Hes after a couple large Cupressus Macrocarpa to plant at his house (not my first choice but hes paying) 15ft to 20ft ideally, maybe bigger. I know we are coming out of planting season but still might just manage to get it done.

Basically anyone know anybody who could supply them? Tried my regular nurseries with not much success.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks

  6. Asking for a friend who landscaped a garden after id removed and stump ground a fallen uprooted tree. Hes done the garden out really nice but keeps getting fungi/mushrooms coming up in the beds and the paths even haven put down a membrane. Is there a way to stop them coming up? Almost want to be a able spray them off like you would a weed if thats even possible? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

  7. My iveco randomly cuts out as your driving along. It might not happen for a couple days but then like today it done it 3 times.

It just cuts out, no warning lights its just as if you've stalled it. Turn off the ignition then turn the key and it starts up and runs absolutely fine again.

Anyone else had this happen? Ive a horrible feeling its going to one of those intermittent faults which is going to be a pain to find and fix.
