  1. I was surprised to learn that Company's under going the AAC assessment ,"ring in" more competent operatives from outside their company.

This in my opinion erases any credibility as its akin to me passing the theory test of my HVG and calling in an agency driver for the Practical assessment.

It goes on... I've been sub contracted to two different companies to climb whilst they were having assessments carried out :)

  2. I'm booked onto a fisa felling refresher course next month to allow me to work with some of the big national forestry companies. Makes me laugh though as all we do is the tree surgery side of things yet we have to do a felling refresher not a climbing based one which I thought would have made more sense!

Spent today doing Fisa felling refresher. Quite enjoyable actually, was picked up on a few habits and got to chat to others about the forestry industry. Something I find interesting as 90% of my work is tree surgery work.

  3. The job is in Exmouth, and access is tight, a 90cm gateway, which could be made wider to 110cm if need be.*

The stump at its widest point is approx 1m 40cm with obvious root plate that goes with it.

If someone would like to give me a quote or arrange a site visit it'll be much appreciated. Many thank. Tom
