  5. Hi, My name is Callum Throw, I am a self-employed Tree Surgery Contractor based in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. In October 2010 I started my own Tree Surgery and Contracting company, namely Total Tree Preservation. I have been a fully qualified Arboriculturalist since leaving Merrist Wood College, Guildford, Surrey in 2008 from which I acheived a Triple Grade Distinction National Diploma in Arboriculture. I would say my strongest assets are that I am very self-motivated, determined and keen to impress, I cannot do a bad job, I am very self critical. I have a keen desire to learn new skills and gain new experiences. On a lighter side I am easy going, don't mind a bit of banter and often find that in this industry you have got to be willing to have a laugh. So what can I offer you: •A Tree Climber- complete Climbing kit, PPE and MS200T •A groundsman- complete PPE and Groundsaw (if necessary) •A Consultant/ source of enquiry •A general labourer i.e. Log splitting, Gardening and Grass Mowing I also hold comprehensive insurance, Public liability of £5,000,000 and Public Indemnity up to £1,000,000. Thanks for reading...
  6. Thompson Woodlands can you PM me same info, I'm little stuck too...Thanks
  7. I do like...!!!Now could you like mine, i would be most grateful!!! Total Tree Preservation and yeah well worth it, it takes 5 minutes to set up and i have had two jobs out of it so far...!!
  8. As 'Billy68' said, if you are looking at getting Minted quick...your heading into the wrong game and maybe working for some companies first before starting up will show you that its a mighty hard job but if you put the effort it...you will start to reap the wonderful benefits of this industry! I decided to go self employed in October 2010 and it has been difficult (i now know why my parents always used to say 'its not what you know... its who you know'). So I got some comprehensive insurance (Public Liability and Idemnity), registered as self employed, bought some kit, kept and still keep masses of receipts, Invoice/d clients, Kept a log of payments in and payments out (Balance sheets) and sought advice from family/friends etc. Pay a trip to the bank manager, see what you can afford and what your limits are...don't try to grow to big/do to much etc at first (although it can be tempting)...Find some decent lads (Subbies) so you don't have to have Employers Liability and save on some paperwork !!!!Oh and yeah........use some balls!! I am truly loving the challenge and have many people to thank for giving me advice when i needed it!! FINALLY..NEVER BE SCARED TO ASK FOR SOME HELP!!!
  9. I would be interested in some of the rung up cord...how would you like to play it?? PM me or post back, thats if the offer is still open? Callum
