  6. I had an old lady phone me a while ago and asked how much i was going to pay her to take her trees down as she said i would make money on selling the timber, i dont know anyone who sells popular. These are crazy days we live in gents:confused1:
  7. where do you get the tender packs from, and what site do you go on is it still procuer gov or something like that?
  8. Mate you know i would love a mog, however no very practical here as you know, i think a landy 130 tipper it is as Adam is also buying one or converting his so we will have plenty of space, I'll proberly change my mind again in a few weeks, i'm not in the market for on right now just checking my options over the next few months before the trusty tipper falls to bits. It has done my proud, as you know i have never over loaded it !!!!!!!!
  9. They look the dog, but they are £32,000 standard, and lets be honest who wants standard:thumbup:
  10. No another day off as one of the kids is ill again, and the misses at work all day. Got a few quotes to do and may do a flyer drop to drum up some business, at this rubish time of year

  12. Didn't go didn't even know it was on. Was there any minutes taken? if so do you think the council will give me a copy.
  13. get some in the next few days
  14. Thank's guys, yes quite a bit of my work comes from the LA and most of it is in some muddy field or off road some where, my transit dosn't even like wet grass. I know in the ideal world both would be nice, but i already have a V8 Range rover pimped up so this would have to go. It looks like i'm swaying towards the Landie at the mo. P.s Sawdust thats one pimp landie, how much room do you loose by having the crew cab? I know its great for kit, but when it comes to removing chip off site,
  15. Thanks Mat I Know but trailors cost more cash, but the landies just look so smart and compacked you can also use it day to day however the transit is a bit big to pop down to the shops. How you finding yours?
  16. Sorry you want to join the AA and not become an approved contractor. My Bad:blushing:
  17. First of all it will cost you quite a bit. Down here in sunny devon your domestic clients are not too bothered however bigger clients such as the council etc may wish you to be AA. I have also looked at it, and i am going too start mine this year not realy to get more work, however this would be nice, but just as an extra quall and mainly intrest:biggrin:
  18. At the mo i have a Ford crew cab transit tipper, however it is not going to pass its next MOT and it would not be worth fixing all the problems, as it would cost more than the truck is worth. I have been thinking about getting a Landy 130 tipper they look the dogs nads, however im worried that it wouldn't be big enough, how much chip can they hold compaired to the Transit, and kit where do you put it. The little tool boxes they fit in the tipper body dont look big enough for my packed lunch box. Then if they fit a full length tool box you loose room for your chip. The Overland site have som nice Transits and Landies on, help :confused1::confused1 Some advice would be great
  19. I have a web site, but i think for generating work the local free paper beats it hands down. I also think it depends on where in the UK you live. Down here in sunny N Devon people would rather pick up a free paper or have you recomended by a previous client. I think in the bigger citys its diffrent people are more use to logging on to find tradesmen, its quicker.
  20. i think thats a wonderfull idea Stu
  21. Between your teeth Commando style:001_tongue:
  22. I find mine difficult to self feed, i always end up pulling lots of slack through, not a massive problem, but i would love it to self feed, i have tried lots of diffrent vt set ups but no luck:confused1:
  23. It's not that big Stu:001_tongue:
  24. look's great, lets just see how much it is before i get excited:biggrin:
