  10. Complete opposite to what I originally wanted settled on the EKN SOLO HARNESS . Didnt cost the earth so if I wasnt comfortable without a seat it would go as a spare . But hey ho it just offers so much more freedom of movement and is so light . Why didnt I make the change years ago ? Already had a play tonight super cool .

  13. I had one made with the same tarp material used on my landy . Heavy duty stuff with super strong velcro . Someone nicked it ? Bright orange winch cover with black velcro . My tarp cost £180 and he did the winch cover for an extra £ 40 might of even been £30 . Was 4 years ago .
  14. Ha ha ha I,m sure it was you that put me on to him . Good advice
  15. Get your point stevie . I take it the £60 job was you just nipping out and doing a quick job and then straight back home
  16. I was thinking the same . Although Ive told them £ 480 is my best price ? See what happens . To be fair there is not a lot coming off them . Then again it still is 2 days however you look at it .
  17. I have always shopped locally and been loyal to certain firms . But with ever increasing prices I decided to check FR JONES AND SONS out . So glad I did . Top service and super fast delivery I know whos getting my dollars in the future.
  18. £ 400 for 2 full days trimming leylandii and all removal costs . Me trimming for 2 days . Second day a labourer to tidy up the first days mess and the rest . Commercial job the price above is the cheapest quote so far . If I can match it I get it . Although they want a top finish .
  19. Do all you guys charge the same day rate for hedges as you do for trees ? Or is it a case of reducing the daily price as you could be undercut by the local gardener . Maybe that you just charge per job taking into account access . I,m finding it increasingly difficult to price and win hedge work at the minute . I will write a quote and then think that looks a bit steep , so quite often I,m rewriting the quotes again but cheaper . Just seems to be the last year or so that Ive stopping getting as many hedge jobs . Is this down to the influx of the bob a job gardeners ?
  20. Years ago before the stretch fabric came out I used to rip the crotch out and sew in a few extra inches as it all counts
  21. Anyone climb off a pulley say something like a stainless steel ISC . I,ve used one on a few trees and have also climbed off the petzl rescue pulley which has been anchored to the tree via a rated endless sling . Bit more chunky but makes me more confident
  22. Anybody got one pros cons cheers .
  23. Nightmare nobody sells the Petzl navaho boss anymore . So why do they advertise it on there websites . Anyone got one PM me cheers .
  24. I bought mine with a 48" hard nose bar which reduces the power due to increased friction . One oiler broke fixed it and was told to change bars. Changed to a 36" normal bar all good now . Even now when ringing up I always add extra oil to the bar by hand . Yes my saw did pretty much as yours .
