  1. Here's one to keep you going while I think up some hard ones:001_smile: still on 020...
  2. Good job Frankie, thats the thingymajiggy, lost track of score now but you must be close second. Must take cat for his walk before dark then will do some fiendish hard ones for later:thumbup1:
  3. Good call Ben, thought I might have to give an easier one, another cyber pint is rightfully yours. Just one more for now then I have to take some more or feel free to put one in Timbercutter. Later I might crop some down a bit to make them fiendishly hard:001_smile:
  4. I'm loseing track a bit but I think that puts you in the lead Ben with 2.5 .. thats from memory so correct me if I'm wrong..... This is obscure but it is a bit of 200T.....
  5. The pint is your's this time Ben, you were a bit cheated last time so have an extra half:001_smile: Fingers on buzzers.....
  6. Pint and a half to Frankie, they don't exist here, but I bought that saw in NZ and they have mufflers on the Aus/NZ version... very well done:001_smile: here's an easier one...
  7. Very close Ben but to my knowledge the bit that goes in isn't spark prevention, but prevention of something else. I suffer a bit because its missing, and so do the neighbours:001_smile:
  8. It is indeed Alinicoll, but I'm after something a little more specific for a full claim on the cyber pint.... You get a cyber half pint for that, A full cyber pint and a half for the specific answer:001_smile:
  9. Good job Alinicoll, 1 cyber pint, TreeMan will be cyber drunk at this rate.... This next bit only features on antipodean 200ts
  10. I did go straight for the jugular with that one, right again Tree man ... thats 2 cyber pints to nill so far, impressive even down to the fuel cap as opposed to t'uther
  11. By all means Timbercutter fire away:thumbup1:
  12. Right first time even down to the 200t Tree Man Tom. You have one cyber pint. Will find a harder one.......
  13. Start with an easy one. Name this bit of chainsaw.... folks:001_smile:
  14. Here is a link to the Gov't leaflet http://www.ealing.gov.uk/ealing3/export/sites/ealingweb/services/environment/planning/planning_services/high_hedges/_docs/OvertheGardenhedge.pdf It links direct to a PDF so don't know if it will work edit: I just tried it and works for me
  15. If you go for option one, it won't take him all day, but it's only fair to pay him for the day as he's come all that way. In the afternoon he'll fix your tractor for you:thumbup1:
  16. Fly in Mike of KeriKeri NZ, never seen anyone so fast at topping shelter belts, much taller than that. Air fare plus a bit for you and one days pay for him. Make sure Health and Safety aren't about, the rule book will be re-written. Or.. Take Marks advice which is actually spot on. Or ... We've all been burned by connies, put in a brave price, not a desperate to get work price.
  17. I noticed this on a copper beech yesterday and it got me thinking. The cold followed by the mild seems to have triggered them, rather than any clock type thing. I have concluded that trees don't have watches or calenders and have no idea what month it is:001_smile:
  18. Thanks for the link CS, dropped the Mr:001_smile: I'm also now looking at 'Alamy' who seem to be a bit more aimed at the amateur and easier to get into, but will do what I always do and spend ages researching it before I do anything.
  19. Thanks for the advice Mr Central. It seems like a cloak and dagger world of image copyright thievery out there. I was slowly building a bit of a folio to do some more canvases to eventually put up for sale in a cafe somewhere which is why I posted a pic of the canvas and not the actual pic. It took quite a bit of figuring out how to do it so I didn't want to give it away too easily, but thought my fellow tree people might like it. I don't fully understand what you mean about the sending to yourself bit, but do get that some copyright protection might be needed for this. I will google a bit about this and maybe drop you a pm when I think I have a handle on this thing. Thanks for the kick up the rear as I wouldn't get around to it otherwise:001_smile: Edit; and thanks for the poetic description bit, thats nice ta v much. I don't read those things into it myself, but I like it, as it kinda gives it a bit of meaning.
  20. Blimey!!! Mr Central, nearly choked on my Shiraz. Thats a big compliment for my humble sycamore leaf. There's so many good pics on Arbtalk and the internet generally. I would never imagine that one half decent picky could be worth much except by a few niche sales. When Hama said it might sell, I imagined craft fairs and thought.. been there done that (with my metal work). So would you suggest that I get trawling my wee leaf canvas around the poster companies?
  21. Heres a few of my winter fungal finds. The first is from today, is it spring already? I think the orange one is Flamulina velutipes and the last is a Trametes ....maybe versicolor. I would appreciate an ID on the second last with the snow on top
  22. Thanks for the comments chaps. MR Central....The canvas is 10 by 10 inches and cost me about 35 squids as is top quality canvas, wooden frame, posh ink materials etc. If you want the details of how to get a canvas done I can dig up the details for you (there are cheaper canvas makers). If you are my first customer and want to buy a copy of my leaf canvas, I'm sure something can be worked out:001_smile:
  23. Thanks for takeing the time to explain all that GDave. I just got off the phone as it happens and your'e right about 'no lunch'... as the truck weighs 8tonne and is 16 tonne Gross when loaded. The only way here is the class C. A Bedford MJ weighs 5 and a bit tonne and grosses 9 and a bit so with downgrade would only carry two tonne legaly. Thanks to you guys I am beginning to understand the world of big tonka toys. I'm going to look into getting a class C, whilst also looking at whats out there under 7.5 tonne. Also very useful feedback on the truck itself, thanks again Dave.
  24. Currently being fed and trained up for international fame and stardom..JH styli:001_smile:
