  1. Nice bit of Oak there...you'll be able to build a decent size Barn with that lump...love that Bedford:)
  2. As an educational tool....windblown trees used to fascinate me as a kid...being able to see the workings of a rootplate...something that is otherwise invisible under the ground...
  3. No booze last night:rolleyes: I need to focus towards a new chapter in my life.i am happy for my workmates that they finally have a yard but i shall be moving on before onwards and upwards before long. There has been a serious incident recently (again) that has been brushed under the carpet(again) and the "elephant in the room"probably won't go away:thumbdown: But anyhoo, that's the past and I have just heared that todays forcast is Warm and Sunny:) 19 degrees in fact! So I woke at 4.30 a.m feeling great and took my inspiration from a man on this morning's news who bravely played his favourite acoustic guitar through a groundbreaking brain opperation to fit a pacemaker type device to try and control shaking in his hand caused by the onset of parkinsons....I lept out of bed like a Ninja! Did some press-ups and some sit-ups ( excercises I never do....until today) drank a black coffee and put together a simple breakfast. An hour on the X-Box then I shall go for a cycle....then go and climb a Tree with my mate......enjoy the Sunshine Arbtalkland:)

As said by the lads....you did everything you could...I think you are to be admired mate...dressing up as Stan the RNLI mascot makes the kids smile and maybe inspires them to join up when they're older and we will always need volenteers:)....when the accident happened you swapped over to your role as Dad, Did what you could and your Son is home safe...hope he gets well soon...Good on you mate!

  8. It's interesting to see some of the things hidden away in Kew village...I cycle past this house every day...but because the old man has had his front garden vegetation cleared, these hidden treasures are now visible...

  18. No....that was a British Airways...pictured on Sky news a few minutes ago..all passangers are safe:) It would have passed the yard though. We have been out and about all morning collecting luxury items for our bait room:D
  19. First day running from the new yard....7 mile cycle. FIRST IN!
  20. Try a Guiness nightcap Mr Egg:beer:....or a sloe gin:D Jon's still awake too....if he was asleep...he'd be dreaming about Cizzer and Big Butts:D:D
  21. The box weighed a ton and it was easier to drag it with the tractor...took 5 of us to hand ball it on to the trailer...one of the lads is thinking of living on site

  23. It's a great topping tool stephen:thumbup: its a saw that is advisable to use...one handed!
