  2. Cutting chestnut is one of the great pleasures in life! Indeed if they were made of butter, then the 150 would be the "hot knife" of the chainsaw world. Super smooth Adam.

    Ultra o's.... ISC Mighty Mouse.
  5. Yup that spacer is vital. There should be a clip on the end of your pulley saver...make sure you set your anchor in an open crotch to ensure it retrieves okay (so it doesn't jam). Practice with care. Descending on a ZigZag using a pulley can be very quick indeed. Enjoy!
  6. Then went to Newcastle to do my Test...passed....then returned to meet the crew on Site where we went through the plan of action for tommorow. We are all hands on deck to finnish of Treework in a Park where i played as a little boy and my son..and my grandson. Unfortunately one of my favourite climbing trees as a kid is to be taken down to a stump. Tommy Treecarver is to be carving something out of it...so should get some great picures of tbe whole squad working tommorow as there are also stumps to grind and some smaller fells...so an interesting Friday!
  7. True Mr Gand...luckily i'm fairly good on Health and Safety Questionaires so after a quick read through i have to see what's occuring in the yard.i like busy-ness...

  11. Stopped by the time i got to the yard.
  12. 6.30 this morning Jon.
  13. 8.5 or 9 inch that one Jon i think. Collecting the timber off site tommorow.
  14. Busy climb...well done Alex. tight drop zone and time consuming rigging. Good team effort!
  15. Fair bit off chip of three tall poles.
  16. Using a 3:1 advantagevwithin his ZigZag system he made a steady effortless ascent up past the Ivy clad stem. And the apprentice was able to see a cradle throw (my favoured style) and the ease of a clip to install the climbers rope....rigged everything down.no drama....great climb by Monkeyallan.
  17. Sycamore to come down. With Fencing and a buiding underneath it would need to be rigged down.Alex went up.We fixed up the Stein.
