The vat limit was £67000. Is it 70k now???? Either way, I thought that when you get that close to the threshold that you should be voluntarily vat registered just in case????

No, not at all. Anyone who is self employed can choose when they want or don't want to work. I personally like the idea of a 3 day working week leaving 2 days for servicing and quoting. However, I am only young and like the idea of building up a company capable of 100k and upwards per annum much much more.

If you only work 220 days a year @£450, that is £99,000. Must be plus VAT.

Plus an probably an hour minimum of your valuable time. Plus time to print/write up quote, plus paper, plus ink, plus electricity for computer, plus envelope, plus stamp etc etc.

Plus you can get some with a kind of half skeleton face print that make you look totally rock and roll. Go well with tattoos and misfits t-shirts. Haha.

Need to get some more clips to make a longer video. Really enjoying messing with editing but never seem to have time to film anything. Deadline for next video is 12th December. Keep your eyes peeled. It's gonna rock your socks off. Maybe.

I just use my iPhone. Haha Have seen some pretty cheeap HD camcorders that record onto a memory stick in Argos. Like £200 or something. Look ideal for carrying about in glove box and then just plugging into the pc when you get home. I'm thinking of going down the helmet cam route myself.

I'm in talks with channel 4 and discovery channel about a 6 part series at the moment. Just sorting out contracts. Haha Arbtalk TV channel will be live late 2011.

Now that was awesome. It wasn't exactly the music videoesque style that I have been aiming at but the fells were excellent. Cutting Edge Tree services have the trees on the deck before most people have their harnesses on Hahahaha.

That's the hardest part about making entertaining edits from tree work. (I haven't filmed enough stuff) Just watching general day to day work can be quite boring, unless it is instructional in some way. Then there's the dilemma of music, too slow and it's boring, too fast and it doesn't fit. That's why I chose in the last vid to minimise actually saw work and tried to just show the good stuff of the trees falling.

Cheers for the comments. It's only a bit of a hobby, something to do while x-factor is on, but it is quite fun and I get quite a sense of satisfaction from it. Can wait to see efforts from other people. We should start a new thread specifically for putting our edits up in. I need to get some more video clips before I make another one.

did the music fit ok??? Im happy but not satisfied with it, not 100%. Good fun making it though. Gonna get some fresh clips over the coming weeks and really push the boat out. Maybe have a bloopers reel at the end aswell.

you need to put music on your PC first. It helps, alot. haha I have over 16,000 songs on iTunes. Choosing which track is the hardest part. haha
