  1. Right I'm gonna be there at the Climbers and cutters comp, with my harness and rope. In for a penny, in for a pound. Any web-links to other comps??, past or present, so as to get an idea of what to expect. I've only ever seen the pole climb at APF, and some short clips on youtube.
  2. on the contrary. In the pic I was looking at there were 4 karabiners in a row. Maybe our screen resolutions are different. Who knows.???
  3. I like the sound of speed climb and work climb. Would I be advised to go watch a comp first??? Did you do any good ???
  4. Sooo. Hey guys can you help me. I'm looking to get on to the competition circuit and have a bit of a bash. Where do i start. Do I need seperate gear from my work stuff?? 14. You will be attached to both the side d's at one time or to one side d and something on the bridge. 15kn X2 =30kn.
  15. Strange when you look at something like that and think "why didnt I think of that", or "why did no-one think about that ages ago" Just goes to show that we as humans havent solved or invented everything. Might have to get one. Something else to loose behind the transit seats.
  16. technically speaking there are 2 in the middle of the top row. Think about it!
  17. Haha, amazing. My wife hates camo gear aswell. Any type. Probably why I love it so much.
  18. Did you climb it??? If so, How did you justify climbing in your risk assesment???
  19. Really bugs me when you are stood looking at a 20ft silver birch (for example) and the customer is saying that it has got toooo tall. My reply is usually along the lines of "it hasnt got tall enough". What are we to do. Its the same old, same old. You can only tell the customer the facts. What they as the owner wants to do is up to them. Would be interesting if someone actually advised "topping" then later down the line the tree was to fail. Whos responsible??? God?? Owner?? Contractor??
  20. Petzl Sequoia = Highly Recomended
  21. If you left a tree like that near my house, I'd go back later and fell it haha. Only joking, work like that is very very rare if not completly non existent round our end. I'm in talks at the moment with the estate I climb for about introducing Coronets.
  22. Haha, awesome. I'm now toying with the idea of getting "real Tree" shirts done with company logo. Might even camo the wagon haha
  23. haha. wish my life was as simple as that.
  24. so is there NO type c trousers available??? I might e-mail a company like Jack Pike or Sherwood Forest and see if they might go into talks with some PPE manufacturers.
