  7. I think you will find they were Nike Track suit bottoms matey boy. And i ripped the knee on them after i broke the fence..

  9. or just use them for burying stuff. Like evidence of things...............?
  10. My main issue was it was ok for them to say what the chaps where doing was dangerous, but they didnt back it up in anyway apart from showing that motorbike guy put a harness on and blakes hitch up a ladder with a silky. It was ridiculous. There was no real alternative, joe public will just see it as : "if the tree guy knows what tree it is without refering to a book, and iff the harnesses are attached and the ladder is footed, then they must be qualified." There was no point made of certification or ways of finding out if your contractor is a professional. BIG dissapointment in my book.
  11. I changed my status on facebook about 2 months ago to "Darren sells the cheapest firewood in the whole of east yorkshire". My phone hasnt stopped ringing for logs since. Its getting annoying. Keep having to take days off to go split the damn things.
  12. Not enough was made on the side of qualifications or certification. It just breezed upon not being professional. Yet when they do the dodgy gas men, its all Corgi register this, corgi register that. Shouldve at least been some decent footage of pro's rigging and such. Like one of RCO's videos.haha
  13. Did you catch Extreme Loggers on Discovery the other week?? Swamp Logging, now they have some BIG Kit.
  14. Muchos Gracious:001_cool:
  15. I know what you mean, It wouldnt have been my first thought. I didnt mean your employer anyway, I was on about the land owner. I had just had a conversation about a compensation claim for a crack in a pavement, costing the councils loads. If it had been my 7 yr old son who fell down then thats another matter though.
  16. Shouldve sued the pants of the responsible party haha.
  17. It was a nightmare. So glad its not true. ........................Its not, Is It??
  18. My comments were spoken (or typed) in true jest, It was a reaction to how comical it all sounded, like a sketch from the two ronnies (not that I'm insinuating it was at all funny when it happened). I humbly apologise.
  19. Was that you I saw opposite Brough golf club, 69.5ft up a 70ft beech??? Snipping 3 inches of dead out of the tips with your Felco's???? I think it was. Think it was also you I saw using the capston as your main anchor at one point. That'll hold your incredible frame. (I may have a photo to prove it)
  20. A gandelfish looking old fellow failed to stop his Ford Fiesta (other hatchbacks are available) with the common practise of using the brakes the other day, instead in his almighty wisdom he decided the best way to halter his progress along a minor B-road in East Yorkshire, was to end his journey abruptly by smashing straight into my Ford Transit (other crew cab tipper wagons are available). No-one was hurt. In my disbelieve as to what had happened, all I could muster up to say was "You shall NOT pass".
