  1. OK cheers. Looking at stovesonline there a few newer stoves that can be connected to a sealed unvented system now. Will find a plumber and have a chat.
  2. Can a wood boiler stove be used to hear water into a domestic hot water tank or is an accumulator required? The boiler stove will work in tandem with the current boiler and mains pressure sealed system mainly in the winter when it is on. Trying to keep the cost down as accumulators are expensive.
  3. The scammers are back! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131309141357
  4. If you're going to go, might as well do it in style! Nice one Rhys.
  5. At 15:1 I think something is going to snap / break 😱
  6. Good job it isn't in Surrey or Old Mill would have it down tomorrow. He seems to like felling Redwoods! 😃
  7. Which part of Hampshire are you in, as I am near north Hampshire border with Surrey if you want someone to have a look and give a definite price?
  8. Hi David One did as had quite a bit of dieback in the crown. Was reduced about three months ago, not been past since but will take a little detour to have a look.
  9. I'll be there Mon and Tues. Was going to do weds but something came up. Royal Holloway is only 15 mins away from me so would be rude not to! I'll keep an the out for you David.
  10. Did the wizard and interestingly it came up with the aquatherm one!
  11. I'm looking to put in a boiler stove. Wanted an Esse range in the kitchen but mrs wouldn't go for it - too attached to her electric range cooker to change to a wood fired one. Our house is quite modern looking so was thinking of an inset Aquatherm F26 in the sitting room. Anyone had any experience with one of these? Cheers...Al

  13. The bag has melted itself onto the bearings and shaft! And is proving a bit of a nightmare to get off. Chain link fence is easier.
  14. Yes, 10 years from the original engine. Had a head gasket replaced if I recall correctly.
  15. Haha, sorry about that! The main frame is good and solid, so just need to bolt some new bits to it, and be good for another 10 years!
  16. Having spoken to Kim at Danequip it looks like my Stumpy can be resurrected with a new engine and welding work for a fraction of the cost of a new one. Here's hoping...
  17. I have a feeling my 10 year old Danequip stumpy is 'beyond economical repair'. Its need a new engine as using as much oil as petrol nearly, some of the front guard area needs patching/replacing, bearings need replacing after getting tangled up with a one ton bag that was buried (ripped the bearing carriers right off!) Almost a complete rebuild!. So, to my question, if this is the case what do I replace it with? I like a grinder that can go into back gardens through side gates, any big stumps I hire in a machine, and needs to be self propelled to go up ramps into the back of the lorry. Suggestions gratefully received. Cheers...Al
  18. This is up the road from me in Bisley. Who are you then?
  19. Looks like I'll have to come round and do it for you. Going to cost you a cup of tea though!
  20. If you can't wait until the APF, there is going to be one at Saltex show next week on Lister stand.
  21. Just spent half the day getting to Reading and back, picking up three soggy teenagers from Reading Festival.
  22. I will don't worry. But I bought 10 vxl chains.
