  2. Dont think Father Christmas will fit this down the chimney! What a bit of kit! IMG_6824.mov
  3. It's bloody hard to please some people! I was purposefully testing it out on hedge trimmings which no chipper throws as as far as wood but it would have been fine throwing It in the back of the truck, there was also a fair wind blowing it back towards the machine.

  6. I had one on demo a week ago, I was very impressed. there were one or two bits that my 6'' chipper would have struggled with! just because of the shape rather than the size. the drum width is really wide so the powered indeed pulls big bits into the flattest plane and through it goes! I was mainly interested in how it pulled in hedge trimmings as ive got several 'bag up and drag out' jobs every year and thought this would help, I pulled it out the back of the truck and chucked it in as fast as I could and it gobbled it up! I could do with a new 'proper' chipper but I cant afford both at the moment. they do have lots of videos on their site.
  7. I didn't think it was even possible to block the chute nowadays, I did it once about 20 yrs ago on an old entec chippit. Never managed to block the chute on my trusty 2005 tunnissen 190.
  8. looking at the 165 diesel. not sure why but I hate asking dealers to come and demo all the way down here in south Devon.
  9. Does anybody have opinions good or bad about the evo? I cant find many reviews online
  10. id say thats Eleagnus too but ive never seen one that big either
  11. ive got fair sized lumps of hollow poplar and sycamore up the yard. I'm in south Devon
  12. Any ideas what's on with this Oak tree, I have been keeping an eye on it over the last few years and the blackened bark has spread now all round the stem. Lots of slime flux present. A fairly valuable target under it.
  13. I hadn't noticed that lip, I can imagine everything catching on that
  14. this one in particular, GL&D Hydrostatic Wheeled Bio Chipper
  15. Anybody tried one of the above chippers?
  16. where about are you please the ad doesn't say.
  17. There are deer about this site but there have been a few like this now but damage is only about a foot off the ground.
  18. we are in the same situation. a heating engineer told us it would be about 7k plus your stove. also we didn't have much room for a decent sized thermal store. I think he said we needed a 'heat genie' google it.
  19. Every time I 'straight out balls speedlining' I just melt my rope. what rope you using ?
  20. guess I will have to a ring around on Monday. shame as ive been with trust for years.
  21. Trust insurance have just sent me my renewal for my l200 tipper, its gone up from £500 to £1100 Who else do people use?
  22. I bought the stihl ms260 enhancement kit, that fitted my old 240. you get bar, 3 chains and sprocket. just over a hundred quid if I remember right
  23. ive got the bigger 750 one which is meant to cut 13''.... not a chance unless its a fencepost maybe. I did think about putting in a bigger engine but there is hardly any room especially as you have to allow a bit of room for the belt tension adjustment. I'm not impressed with it, probably be great with pro power but the engine option is massively underpowered imo. the engine mount sliding thing broke after 6months, not interested in a warranty claim. I had to get it welded up and strengthened myself.
