  1. Nice one! Like the pic of you chucking the top and the bird!
  2. You're all wrong. Its low on oil.
  3. You won't be safe. Just put the correct amount in. If you put more oil in, the total mix will be leaner of petrol. Therefore you will have to richen your carb and have separate fuel for that saw.
  4. How are you liking your new-fangled truck with a back that "tips up", Mick? A Work of the Devil, I heard. Best just stick to throwing logs off and shovelling chip I think.
  5. I was looking at them at the Arb show and a guy who is a member on here, I can't remember his name unfortunately , came on the stand to order some new attachment. He has run one for a while and really rates it. I think he does more than just tree work though. Its a big investment indeed. When the right sort of job comes along, I'm going to hire one for a few days to have a play.
  6. The next model up, the 530, is about £19K, plus the attachments on top. I asked the dealer at a local show. Looks an excellent piece of kit if you have the work for it. The 427 is fixed track, the 530 is more powerful and is vari track, so narrower than the 427 when you need it.
  7. What about hiring some traffic lights? How long are you wanting to stop the road for?
  8. I would be surprised if a 1 tonne potato box held anywhere near 2 m3.
  9. Depends who's going to be driving it too! Staff will not be driving it with fuel economy and clutch life forefront in their minds. If theres a clutch issue, upping the power is going to make it worse rather than better.
  10. Then you can use it to carry the vented bags in. Or you could just put the bags on the loader and fill them straight off the splitter.... But then, what would you do with the link box.... Nice set up BTW!
  11. A dyslexic England supporter was finally released from jail in South Africa earlier today. He'd been locked up for attempting to blow a 'Zulu's vulva'.
  12. That is an excellent set up, Stevie. I imagine you drove the chipper in to the site. Would the crane have sufficient power to lift the chipper out over a wall like the one in the pictures?
  13. Try arborist supplies at eArborist Marketplace
  14. I have only ever seen it on Ash.
  15. Great close ups with the water droplets, David.

You don't, if you only work on your own all the time. If its your job, and someone is assisting you, then they are your employee for that time period. Therefore you are required by law to have Employers Liability insurance. If you are a one man band, and are assisting someone else on their job, they are required by law to have Employers Liability insurance. Its very simple and very clear.
  17. It will take time to get a good name. But a bad name will get there before you.
  18. Looks good Stevie! Can you lower the chipper and leave it on the lift at a feedable height and chip into the back, for roadside stuff? Is it an agri-reg machine still?
  19. Or just swap the front and rear diffs for standards from a breakers.
  20. Whats different about the diff? If its a higher ratio than standard, one off a VW taro possibly might fit? They were a vw badged hilux, but the diffs were higher geared and wern't a straight swap. Might be something different altogether, but maybe worth looking into?
